The percentile system is as new to us as it is to you. It is very difficult to predict right now. But if i had to make a guess, i would say you should get a call. All the best!

hii senior...actually even my scenario its da same....I've an experience in Operations background but hv an inclination towards marketing...how can I justify myself....and can u let us kno a bit elaborately wat does 'street-smart marketing' mean???
Well, if you have an inclination towards Marketing, you can always justify it by your love for advertising, strategising, understanding what is in a consumer's mind, being good at articulation, etc. You can go a step further and site books like "Predictably Irrational", by Dan Ariely, which inspire you, though not unless you know a little bit about the books in the first place. When we say street-smart, we mean that the SIBM Pune Marketing students learn a lot about the way in which the real-world operates. As a Marketing manager, you need not be limited to a corporate job - it involves a lot of travelling and handling of different people (distributors, etc.). This is VERY important, and because of the course and activity structure at SIBM Pune, we are exposed to such knowledge frequently.

Can u plz clarify the following:1) How many calls were given out last time(for GE PI) and out of those how many converted the same?2) What is the approx no of studs who gave SNAP this year and how many of them are expected(what %age or some ballpark value of studs) to receive calls for round 2?3) Do we have to select the specialization at the time of GEPI or at the time of admission?@Aniket97 , @vaibhavp , @aviewtoakhil, @VenkataramanR
The ratio of students getting into SIBM-P to those given calls for the GEΠ process is generally 1:7 or so.. Hence, if you consider a batch of 180, total no. calls you'll easily be able to calculate. Also, you do not need to list down your specialization at the time of round 2. Specializations are decided 45 days post the commencement of your MBA.
@divyamarwah somebody had earlier said that they call 1200 students... and around 35k applied for sibm pune. so ur application stands at around 1260 (rank).. so u have a borderline chance... just wait for 17th....
If someone from delhi(or anywhere outside pune) gets a call for both scmhrd and sibmp, he will have to come to pune twice in case the dates are different for the two interviews???please reply
SIBM Pune, for one, give aspirants a choice regarding their process date and time slot. I am not very sure about other institutes. Hence, if some other institute gives you a specific date and time, you could choose your's for SIBM-P based on that or could go the other way round so that you have to come to Pune only once. The dates for the GE/PI process @ SIBM-P are: Feb, 2-7.

How is the PI generally? Stress Interviews or Normal Kinds? And usually in what domain (his engineering background or the work experience) is a person with a 3 years work-ex asked questions on?
