t@DanRay hi , i have 97.5 percentile (114) score , but just 55 percent in verbal.... 1.5 years work ex at Infosys , Can i expect i call form SIBM -P , what are my chances for converting , given my score(means what is weightage given to score ) .

Well, you get to choose yor specialization around 45 days into the course. You can always choose it then. Being sure about your specialization is a good thing, though, as it indicates that you have planned things out well.
I can't be sure about you getting a call, since we are implementing the percentile system for the first time. SIBM Pune gives a 40% weightage to SNAP scores.

The specializations are formally selected after the course begins and you would get whatever specialization you want then.
However it is considered a good attribute if you are absolutely sure which course you want to take up at the GE/PI stage itself. Shows clarity of mind to the panelists. All the best!

@vaibhavp. Hi vaibhav, if I am not sure of my specialization up till this point, how best can I portray the same without seeming naive and callous about my future. I intend to make up my mind on the specialization post the 45 days induction SIBM-P conducts.
Your thoughts on this please?

As per UGC norms, Rs 1000 will be deducted from the fees after cancellation. The remaining will be refunded (upto a particular date).

Hi.. Even i was not 100% sure about taking up operations. In my interview i told them i am equally inclined towards Operations and marketing and I had my profile to back it up.
The panelists understand that not all students can be absolutely sure what specialization they want. They respect this and all they expect is an honest answer from the candidate. If you are not sure just admit that and tell them you would want some more exposure in the 45 days after the course starts in order to take an informed decision. You want to interact with seniors and faculty in order to to know more about all the courses and then chose your specialization accordingly.

SIBM Pune is known for its street-smart marketing batch. Infact Marketing has most number of students in our batch. We have excellent faculty here for marketing. All major FMCG/FMCD companies come to recruit. You can check the list of recruiters at our website.

Yes you have to come to pune for GE/PI! Believe me, it might seem to be such a pain right now, but once you see the campus you will be inspired to perform better in your GE/PI :)
