[2020-2022] [Official] SIBM Pune Admissions

@vkkummar you can get a call if you score extremely well in SNAP. But converting will depend on other factors as well including profile.
@vkkummar
Getting a call depends on only your SNAP score and nothing else. Clearing the GD/PI depends on your performance in them. As long as the panelists like you, they dont care about your low score.

So just give your best and concentrate on getting a good score in SNAP.
@vaibhavp thanks
@vaibhavp
I have filled the SNAP registration and made the payment as well..however i had also payed for SIBM at the same time..now after that i have completed the registration and all details on SIBM website as well. but however the payment details is not being showing over there..what is the problem??
Secondly..shall i have to take the print out of the complete application and send it too in both the cases??

@Shray14

The payment data is updated in batches. So just wait for a couple of days and it will show.

And you dont need to send anything to SIBM pune in hard copy. You can just keep an electronic copy with you for future reference.

Cheers!

Thanks Buddy..Hope to see you soon..
@kaancha

I am not sure how many KM candidates are called for the 2 seats. But from what i see, the competition is relatively less for that quota. So you can be rest assured you would get a call even if you get an average SNAP score.

Secondly, Extra-curriculars dont play a vital role in your selection process. If you have good EC's it helps you but if you dont, it doesnt go against you.

Calls are not profile based. They are strictly based on your SNAP Score. And GD/PI has significant weightage in the admission process. The exact %age is not disclosed to us!

Cheers!
Hi ,
My Academics are like this
X - 82%
XII - 78%
B.TECH - 85.3%

Also have an work experience of 30 months in IT sector.
Have some extracurricular activities in college level.
What should be overall score in SNAP to get a GD/PI call from SIBM - Pune.

Please help..

@soumyaprusty
your SIBM Pune call depends just on your SNAP score. Your past acads and work ex might come into play at a later stage.

Last year the cutoff for the general category was 91.75. However, the cutoffs keep on fluctuating depending upon the level of difficulty of the paper and the performance of the candidates.

You have a great profile. Right now just concentrate on scoring the maximum you can in your SNAP exam. All the best!
@vaibhavp
Thanks
Need to know which areas I should be focusing more.
As I am bit weak in VA and GK also.
specially for these two areas, any study material or book or any website where I will get adequate info.....please suggest..
@soumyaprusty

The beauty about having no sectional cutoffs is that you dont have to concentratre on your weak areas but your strong areas.

Having said that, VA is all about practice. If you have materials of any coaching center, go through the basics of grammar and critical reasoning and try to solve questions from Arun Sharma. Solve as many past SNAP papers as possible becuase there is not many variations in the pattern of VA section

For GK, go through the current affairs of India in particular pertaining to politics, economics, sports and technology. Read about various summits like G6, G20, SAARC, Kyoto protocol and the likes.

Check out http://www.facebook.com/CoffeeWithSIBM for regular updates on relevant GK topics for SNAP.

cheers!
