The Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies (KIAMS), one of the most highly-rated B Schools in the country, has opened its admission process for its PGDM program (2014-16) for aspiring students. This presents an excellent opportunity for candidates who want to make a place for themselves in the world of management.

Through this institute, which was founded by one of the most prestigious industrial houses in India- Kirloskars, they will be able to pursue their dreams. Keeping in line with the philosophy of its parent group, the institute believes in education with values. And that’s something students who graduate from KIAMS seem to benefit from.

Many of the management graduates from this institute are now making a name for themselves in their chosen fields of employment all over the world. This year’s admissions– the 17th intake- offers aspirants an opportunity to add their name to the list.

Given the reputation of the institute, the admission process sees management hopefuls from all over the country making a beeline for it every year. Admissions are open to graduates from any field who have secured an aggregate of 50 percent or more. Candidates who are sitting their final year exams can also apply if they meet the qualification criteria.

Besides graduation results, CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT percentile are also taken into consideration for admissions. Selected candidates will be called for group activities, group discussions and interviews at the institute’s campuses, either in Harihar or Pune. To make things more convenient for aspirant candidates from all over the country, the institute also conducts this process in different centres including Bangalore, New Delhi, Kolkata, Baroda and Hyderabad.

For successful candidates, it’s a stepping stone into the world of management where they are offered the platform to reach out for their dreams. The two-year intensive PGDM program offers students a clear overview of different aspects of business and management concepts. It enables students to think critically and rationally while building their confidence in assessing complex problems.

Students who have graduated from the institute also believe that they are more prepared to cope with pressures in their professional lives. Overall, the institute is known to do an excellent job in creating future managers and leaders who can make a difference to businesses.

Building entrepreneurial skills amongst students so that they can be job creators rather than job seekers is another objective of the institute. The teaching pedagogy employed at KIAMS also makes the institute stand out to a great extent. While students get the best through classroom learning from some of the biggest names in academia and industry, they are encouraged to think out of the box through case studies, role playing, quizzes and a lot more. Students also gain much-needed exposure to the real corporate world through industry-interaction sessions and seminars that are often hosted by the institute.

Another highlight of the program is that it allows elective choices to students in their second year so that they can customise the course to their personal requirements. Thus students interested in different management fields can gain hands-on experience and boost their future career prospects. This sort of flexibility makes the institute an exciting place of learning for students.

They also tend to enjoy the opportunity of learning at the lush and sprawling campuses of the institute which add to the complete educational experience students get. Through further initiatives such as student exchange programs and a solid placement process, KIAMS offers the best platform for them to launch their professional careers.

Management aspirants have the opportunity to do that by enrolling in the admission process. The deadline for applications this year is 30th March.
