i need a piece of advice from you.
i want to do mba in iim's only.

my profile : 10th - 87%, 12th- 95%, degree- 75%. work exp- 2 years in a s/w company.

but i have a gap of some 10 months after my degree and a gap of 1 year after my job.

currently working.

i m scoring 98-99 %tiles in aimcats.

can i expect calls from top b schools??
pls advice. i m in a desperate situation...

Givin cat dis year!! but dis profile always demotivates me...:( as am obsessed abt iims!! jus wanna do smthg gud in ma life can u tell me if i got any chance evn with watever %les i cud get im actually decided to try cat as many times till i get there..
I've been confused if ever i try for sm job wat kind will fetch me sm gud pts in gd/pi does a job in a bank help or may be as an admin or even as a tech support plss any help wud b gr8

I came across your profile in the Job profile thread and found your Job profile very interesting.Actually i too want to work in a similar field after my MBA.Currently i am working as a project engineer at ABB and also prep for CAT 09.I was wondering if you culd tell me more abt what kind of subjects did you take during your MBA.I mean what kind of stuff should one read to get into Manufacturing/construction sector.What kind of stuff did you read under Operations and also other electives.I would be nice of you to let me know of other courses one can do before entering a b school.I have some basic knowledge about CPIM and CSCP.So you think pursuing these courses could help me in Manufacturing/construction sector.Is their any other course which you have done or any certification program you know that can help me get more info abt OPS.

Hey Hi Raven.......Well i must say you are doing a really great job by helping guys with SOPs and at presently mostly for FMS..
And i wanted to say that I am one of them & would really be oblidged if u take a look at my SOP as soon as possible on the same thread on page 242 with username of "cat_aspirant_"

need some advice .
as i have very poor acad.completing B.Tech.from NIT in 8 yrs.with 50% in between i worked for one software comp. for 2 yrs. now i wanted to do MBA from decent college. how my acad affects in preparing for MBA ???? will they consider my work ex. ??? how should i preapre for exams???
my xth=61% and xii th =70%.
i am feeling very depressed . is their any hope for me
