I would like to know if any of the seniors answering our queries have opted for the Rural Mgmt course offered by XIMB. I guess the cutoffs are relatively less compared to the mainstream course..


Madhukar, Sumedh, Pankhuri, Sharad and I are all from the PGDM course.

Hi there...i gave xat this yr....bt didnt filled any college except ximb..my overall percentile are 96.32;
PLz suggest any decent cllg thru XAT for wich deadline is not yet over..btw i m filling LIBA,chennai nd Welingkar mumbai..r they gud ones?

Well we are all talking about manadatory disclosures where it is mentioned that Xat score -50% and gd/pi-50% constitute the total

Just seeing the xat and gd/pi scores + overall scores of selected candiadates of last year

How come a person having
gd/pi-------59.37324
xat score-----64.9661
end up with overall ----69.07741
Its totally ridiculous??
N what is the process of calculating XAT Score ??
Is it a 100% iler is given 65 as Xat score
This is the marks of a guy who topped in the overall scores (FINAL) last year

Bhubaneshwar Candidates are given relaxation of 10 points so then their Average is taken with GP/PI Score..

Anyways, I read the whole thing an compared details with last year batch and there are lots of inconsistencies. I suppose this Mandatory Disclosure was fabricated just for the sake of it. Criteria for admission must be totally variable and dependent on Panel..Well this is just my opinion..

So i would recommend not to pay much attention to that report.

Your overall percentile is a bit too low for a call. LR and VA Sectionals are also low... Dont count on a call from XIMB..

Quant percentiles are borderline.. REst is fine.. You might make it..

I'm Shradha. I'm in my final year of graduation.

My xat 2009 scores are as follows:-

VA : 75.98
QA : 39.21
LR : 97.41

overall : 85.86

I have domicile quota. I know i wont get a call for the PGDM course, but I am also interested for the PGDM(RM) course, can I get a call with my percentile? Do they take sectional cut offs?

I hope they dont take sectional scores..

and..Can anyone suggest where else I can apply?

Also you might want to enquire about another point that i noted few pages back.

A student named Kenneth Noronhna was the last person to get the seat and that too after commencement of the classes, But he ranked well above in the list.

So if he had so many marks, why was he the last one ?

91.9 could be enough for a call.. very border line though.. But what are your sectionals???
