XIMB : Solution Centre '09

hello seniors......
my percentiles in the diff sections are as follows:
VA 99.090
QA 92.950
RA 54.25
OA 95.23
I am a domicile candidate....so wht r my chances of getting a call from XIMB....my scores in RA are a bit of a concern i feel.....pls do reply....

Hi there..i gave XAT this yr...i got 96.32 percentile overall nd section wise:
LR:94.4
QA:90.13
VA:89.84
Is there any chance of me getting a call frm XIMB..plz do reply

Plz do go through few of the last posts before posting.

As I had already mentioned, with the increase in number of applications by 20% the cutoffs are definitely gonna rise! The rise will be dependent on the no of calls they give i.e for 120 seats or for 180 seats!

Your individual scores are fine, but OA will create a problem! It would be difficult to get a call this year at this score, keeping in mind the fact, that the cutoffs are again gonna rise dis year!

i'm travelling on the same boat as yours. This year it seems cutoffs ll go up. seems difficult. :banghead:

Well we are all talking about manadatory disclosures where it is mentioned that Xat score -50% and gd/pi-50% constitute the total

Just seeing the xat and gd/pi scores + overall scores of selected candiadates of last year

How come a person having
gd/pi-------59.37324
xat score-----64.9661
end up with overall ----69.07741
Its totally ridiculous??
N what is the process of calculating XAT Score ??
Is it a 100% iler is given 65 as Xat score
This is the marks of a guy who topped in the overall scores (FINAL) last year

Suma, ur OA seems to be less for getting a call from XIMB!

My XAT score is :
VA - 88%
QA - 90.13%
LR - 98.78%

OA - 98.03%

Exp - 18 months (till dec 2008 ) in IT
10th - 85%
12th - 73%
BE - 73.5%
Could anyone please tell me what are my chances ?

I would like to know if any of the seniors answering our queries have opted for the Rural Mgmt course offered by XIMB. I guess the cutoffs are relatively less compared to the mainstream course..

As far as score is concerned, u should get a call, but i dont about other parameters on which they give call.

This query has been answered numerous times on this thread that the GD/PI list will be out during the beginning of Feb 09............Please take a look at the previous posts and find if your query has been answered or not...................

Please spare a thought for the seniors who must be in a lot of trouble answering the same queries time and again....

Hey amol,

Although you will clear the sectional cutoffs easily, your overall percentile will probably not meet the cutoff..since it is expected to rise..
And your work experience although impressive.. but it is a factor which is generally considered during the interviews..not while giving the gd/pi calls ..so I dont think you will get a call.. 😐
