Hi I am writing here to seek help from all MBA exam toppers... I have decent acads scores 10th - 93 12th - 92 Grad - 86 Currently working for an IT firm almost 2yrs Wex But I have been unable to clear even one MBA competitive exam. CAT was very bad, (<80) and to top it the negative marking issue in XAT made sure I suffered in the XAT paper. I don't think I will be able to get any college this year. But I want to crack CAT next year by all means. Please guide me as to how I should study to do well and get a call. Gen Female Engineer TIA
Just want to clarify one thing (myth, might I say) that several of you have asked me in the recent past. Lot of you who are hopeful about a call seem to be under the impression that the difference between your score and a high-end 99 percentile is just a few marks and it would be even less when scaled down, and therefore a "decent" or "above-average" GDPI would suffice. What you guys are missing out is that your real competition is not the group of people who have scored a good percentile and do not do well in their GDPI, and thereby enabling you to catch up. It's the people who have scored well in XAT and also put up one hell of a performance in their GDPIs as well. They are the ones you should be aspiring to outperform. Only by scoring more than the second group of people will your chances realistically improve.
TL;DR: Do not settle for a decent GDPI performance. Aim to absolutely crush it in there. All the best!
