Hi Diksha,

All the necessary materials and books and everything has been stated in the initial pages of this thread. No matter how much time you have, less or more, those materials are not going to change much. You indeed need them to crack UPSC. I appreciate your eagerness for the same, and hence I suggest you take this enthusiasm into your preparations and start right away. It does look a bit hard for this year, in general sense, but you sure wont go unrewarded the next year.

So keep the spirit going and start burning the midnight oil.

Thanks.

Why other bank debit cards not working while doing part 2 of registration? I have tried with kotak, hdfc and pnb..I dont have sbi..Does only sbi cards are bound to work?

I dont think that this is the case. I could successfully register with ICICI bank account.

You might be selecting one or the other parameters wrong, please cross check and retry. 😃
Hi Shashikant,

Please do remove your email id from the post. Its against PG forum conventions.

As for your query, you may try the Digital Library of India. But its a given that all the books you would reasonably require for UPSC Mains preparation would, in all probability, not be available for download.

If you do find some useful sites in this regard, do post it here.

Thanks.

Thank you so much for this info...till now i find a site csatforu.blogspot.com it's worth useful....

Hello PUYS,
After 2 disastrous attempts in CAT and moping for 2 months after results, I m taking a run at CSE this year.....
And here is my first post regarding CSE...

Since many of us prepared for CAT, we will have a slight edge in the CSAT paper.
And So my question is to clear prelims is there a minimum cut-off required in both papers individually...
or
is it just the total cut off out of 400 that counts...

We definately have a vantage point in CSAT. If you have seen last years Question paper u will love to solve it.

Regarding sectional cutoffs, it is considered individually for both papers. Although its unclear from the advertisement issued by UPSC, I was guided by one of my friend who has passed mains 2011.

Hi..
can anyone help me selecting the best coaching institute for UPSC preparation in Delhi.
I have heard about RAO but that's it. which one should I join for regular classes.
I am planning to prepare for next year's exam.
Plz suggest

I know this might be out of scope, but any idea ( from any coaching center or some expert or whatever) about the possible individual cutoffs for the 2 papers for clearing UPSC CSAT 2011, the results of which have already been declared ?

Any rough idea or opinion or anything?

Thanks.

If you go through the prelims and mains question papers of last two years, you will realise that the importance of coaching institutes has diminished. Just for info, Vajiram and Ravi in Delhi is considered as the best for General Studies and Sociology.

Cheers!

Rau is good for Sociology (Upendra).........for General Studies it would be advisable that you first talk to the students who hv already taken coaching form there.

Cheers!
