I will appear for 2017 civils exam..after extensive research i made up my mind to opt for political science optional...reason is there is not much difference between optional and gs2 syllabus.. Almost 70% overlapping..but i have two reservations 1. Poltical science syllabus too extensive but after seeing question papers its more of current affairs and GS2 preparation is overlapping more 2. Rumours political science is one optional often scaled down.so low marks can be expected in contrast to literature papers Please reply ur suggestion abt political science in english.i have interest in many optionals..so interest wont be an issue
