hey guys i'm on to my revision for prelims.....i just want to ask should i go for INDIAN ECONOMY SURVEY-2013 for some extra knowledge or just leave it....... i am ahead by 2weeks for revision allotted period....plz comment on INDIAN ECONOMIC SURVEY-2013...

You can take it back with you. No problem wit that. The paper will also be kept as a pdf file on the official UPSC website, a few days after the exam.

Install the security certificate & finish off the process in opera. (Many are having problems with IE, firefox & chrome)

No, it wont be enough. RS agarwal verbal, non verbal reasoning books are good for paper2 but try practicing comprehension passages from some other book.
Manorama is just a current events book & it wont help in paper 1. Weightage of current affairs is very less in prelims. It's more of his, pol, env & eco.

Year book is comparatively better but that too wont suffice for paper 1.

There is no need to study the original book. It's just a waste of time. If you badly want it, you can download the pdf version.

Go for something like review/summary/highlights of economic survey. New vishal publication is the best in this regard.

I used Chrome and faced the same issue but when this message appeared i selected 'continue...." and filled-up the form without installing the security certificate!

UPSC RELEASED THE WRITTEN EXAM RESULTS OF ASST COMMANDANT/ COMPANY COMMANDER IN CENTRAL ARMED POLICE FORCES, 2012. RESULTS ARE ON THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE. I AM ATTACHING THE PDF FILE HERE.

I'm selected for second consecutive time but I am apprehensive about physical test. Due to lack of physical activity, I weigh a lot more than prescribed limits and offlate, thanks to my computer, my eyesight has taken a beating. I still want to fight it out. It's a group A cader gazetted post for crying out loud. Who would miss that. If any of you cleared written, please contact me.

I haven't attended physical last year as they called me during civils prelims. I may not get through now because my weight will definetly be 15-20 kgs more than prescribed & my eye sight worsened. I don't know how I can get back in shape within 15 days but I'll start training myself from tommorrow.

The test also has some physical activities like running, long jump, high jump & shortput. Exact details will be in sent to you by post. A lot of really humiliating medical tests will be carried out. I'm attaching the pdf file (from UPSC site). I dont have any first hand information. Please stay in contact & let me know if you get any additional information.

PS: medical looks scary dude.

How the hell are they going to check all that stuff.

Can any one tell me what are the qualifying marks for prelims? I know UPSC does not disclose such information but is any one aware what kind of performance is expected in prelims for one to qualify for mains?
We have two papers, what is the usual individual breakdown for each paper for students who qualify for mains?
