In my (limited) experience, none of the AdComms change their response from what the website says. So if we satisfy the requirements presented in the website, we can coolly forget bothering the AdComm on this front.

only the name was changed: so much for individual assessment and taking pains to answer genuine concerns. Man! why do i want to apply to Kellogg even after such unprofessional behaviour!!! somebody explain :angry:

Yeah, I thought that too. But then I heard Darden giving a tough time to all their applicants, so I just wanted to make sure with the schools that I am applying to. Also I wouldn't have figured out that Wharton would want a written request until this email. I guess a good majority would have assumed that an email request would have been enough. Although NYU and Emory websites explicitly say that Indians need not take the test, so I won't be bothering their adcoms...

Gave my toefl range 210-267 .. so i guess i am ok... i just wanted to know that you had mentioned earlier that you can 10$ and get the score report .... this is done on the phone right and it is the self reported score... which can be mentioned in the application as ets takes a month to report your score.... let me know ... thanks for the help....
BTW how giving toefl is traumatic experience .. man there is so much difference in the way gmat is conducted ... the list of colleges did not have the coleges that i wanted to apply to ... i could not see harvard or stanford ....

U r right abt the self reported score. the number to be called and other details are on the toefl brochure (and might also be available on that horrible ets site somewhere)
now - dont even remind me of the TOEFL test taking experience. i have got only two words for it "it sucks". i faced the same issue as u did. search for harvard and end up with 15 names, each with a supposedly descriptive two letter differentiation between different schools. do i pick "Bu" as business and report scores or do i pick "Mg" as management. If "Bu" is for business, then i had 2 "Bu"s. If "Mg" is for management, there was a "Ma" to confuse. The best bet is the paper report request doc. andi dont wanna speak abt the way the test was run :(
and i guess we dont have any policy on test center bashing so - have fun.
based near Houston, TX.....ironic but yeah homeland has better test facilities than the home of the test...
I'll probably call them by phone and ask if there are earlier dates available....i feel the TOEFL site is kinda screwed.....

I think the nearest contact office for TOEFL is in San Antonio. I dont remember the name of the lady I spoke to. Those people are good ....dont use the toll free number ...they will connect to u to a call centre in UK....which is basically useless.

I'd favour an argument between school "gangs" anyday. It's the quality of the argument that counts. If I say school "X" is crap, and you think it is not, a debate would follow which would be good.

Awesome.............I was wondering how come ETS was getting irresponsible......Thanks a lot for the info dude....really appreciate the help. But I already kinda made a decision to take the risk and not write the test. Just 2 more schools to hear from regarding TOEFL waivers and am almost pretty hopeful of getting it waived....they are even having info sessions up here in Houston next week....I'll ask them directly then.....

You can give either CBT or iBT, most colleges accept both. However, confirm this from the colleges of your choice. Also make sure you know their minimum TOEFL requirements for both CBT and iBT. *MOST* colleges require a min. 250 on the CBT and 100 on the iBT. But it differs.

i dont think there is any college that does not take iBT test, although there forms may not have been updated to show the relevant sections. but writing to them is a gud idea anyway in case you are not able to find the space in the forms.

hey - what happened to ur TOEFL i got my scores. A perfect 300
I want to appear for TOEFL but at Delhi all dates seemed to be booked for CBT. Though plenty of dates are available for IBT. Is IBT become a norm at all univs. Can anybody suggest is it ok to appear for IBT.
Also I heard that IBT is much tougher than CBT. Is it true?
