I am assuming that the interviews will be in 3rd week of February..So a random GD/PI Gyaan..
The usual interview will start with-Tell me abt yourself.Now its upto u to clinch the deal over there and try deflecting the interview towards yr strong areas.. E.g- I wanted to talk abt History, Constitution and maths so my introduction revolved around them..Also try telling them abt yr goals and why u think MBA is essential for you in the natural career path..How much value addition u will be deriving out of the course..
Most probably they will switch to yr undergrad subjects and ask abt ya favourite..
Sometimes during interview they will give u a topic(or even ask u to choose) and ask to speak for next 1 min..These moments are deal clinchers and a confident answer with decent content will fetch the brownie points..
Even if u cant answer few questions, don't feel lost..Keep the smiling face throughout the interview. The expectations of a manager is to keep a calm face even during toughest of circumstances and a glimpse of that will be checked by the panel members..
Tentative things to do:-
1.At least 1 hour of news paper daily..NEWS+Views is essential..One business magazine preferably business today..
2.Undergrad subjects-At least 2
3.TIME GD/PI classes..More u will attend them, more confidence u will gain..
4.Essay practice..Keep on mailing me yr essays which u have written with time constraints
5.Favourite book and a summary of book as well as author(Prepare abt 2-3 books)
Plz don't indulge yrself in speculations abt chances of conversion..Also don't read others interview experiences too frequently..U might feel nervous with that..
Tension nai lene ka and contact me whenever u feel complacent/underconfident...
Lastly-1 month hard work and u are GOD for rest of yr life..

8:45 hrs - It is not great news for male call getters from IIM A B C. 989 Women have been shortlisted for 1272 seats. It is almost certain now that even IIM Calcutta will have at least 100 women in their 2013-15 batch. 395 women have been shortlisted. It is highly unlikely that more than 290 women will be out of the system out of 395 ( Eitehr get rejected or they choose to go to IIM A or B)
We had predicted 4 IIMs to score centuries. Well, it will almost certainly turn out to be 5! And a double century does not look as far fetched as it looked even 20 days back!
It has been stated very clearly that it is the demand for women from the industry that is forcing the hand of the admissions committees. Read the ET article here
According to our estimates, at least 600 women would have been short listed by IIM Lucknow and at least 1000 women would have been short listed by IIM Indore and IIM Kozhikode each.

@firsty : its not at all a good news.....it seems IIMs have fixed their mindset in empowering more female candidates this year...so competition will be more tougher among males..e.g: female candidates might compete in 1: 3 ratio whereas males might compete 1:15 ratio.....anyways ATB for IIM C...adil bhai
