This is something that I had written last year.
So it all begins!!!
As the result hour draws nearer, for the first time in this season I am feeling an emotional rush.
Right from the first time when I had solved CAT2008 paper to see what this exam is all about to this instant when I am writing this post, there are countless little things that are going through my mind. My quest had started with a handful of colleges to aim at but with time the things changed and with that my perspective about my goals changed too. Till last year I kept pressurizing myself about getting a good score but this year has been different. I am most indifferent towards my results. I don't know if it a realization or a misconception but after two failed attempts-CAT 2009 and CAT 2010- all I feel that it is not about success or failure. Whether we have all 9's in your score or a combinations of 8's and 9's, doesn't define us.
The important thing is to learn from the process. Setting up a goal, chalking out plans to achieve that, fixing a routine in place, taking a feedback, identifying flaws and then re fixing the routine- aren't we doing the same things for last one-two-three years and aren't the same things we supposed to do as a manager?
So tomorrow what ever be the result, I will keep believing that there was an exam which helped me discovering my self, given me many memories to cherish and a chance to interact with some of the most awesome Junta in the country and above all given me many good friends. And as I quote Neruda on a foggy, wintery night, I have a deepest hope in my heart that our efforts will definitely bring positive results - if not tomorrow then some day in the future definitely.
A very best of luck to all my team mates and PG junta in general. May God bless you with loads of luck (this is very important) and may you see the best day of your life ( if it still hold some significance) on 11th.

Ventured back to read the UDT and DT threads at the time of my CAT result last time. How time flies. A year on and so much has happened in this span. I won't say anything as I know that the joy if you get a good result is incomparable and the pain can also be excruciating if things don't turn out right and no amount of words can either add to the joy in the first case or take away the sorrow in the case of the latter. Only thing is that whatever happens, remember you will remain the same person and you must remain the same person. Yes, new possibilities will open up and a lot of things will happen, but keep your core intact and give everything, post these results, your 100% effort.

I have no plans of mba,just hoping for a 97+ so that i can put the score on my cv ... still i am curious/nervous.. i can just imagine the situation of people who are dreaming for iim's or other leading b schools...best of luck all

Just to show that the guy has a nice aptitude,people will not question the aptitude skills much if you have a gud enuff cat score.. thats it
What must be done after the announcement of CAT results. Do we have to apply for any institute or just wait for the calls to come. I'm a first timer, so i don't know about it.
