This is quite urgent. Would appreciate if I get a reply ASAP.
I want to know the difference between 2 things
1. For those who have worked for TCS for 2.5 years, Quit, Joined Category-2 B-School, If they get into TCS again , What would be their Designation - Role - Pay - Experience Counted -
2. For those who have worked for TCS for 2.5 years, Taken Sabbatical leave, Joined Category-2 B-School, If they get into TCS again , What would be their Designation - Role - Pay - Experience Counted -
Thanks.
One of the options is that if you are eligible for TAS, age-wise, it will be a whole new profile and is one of the best genman profiles available at any B School.

Thanks a lot ! What if someone is not eligible for TAS ? Can you please answer my query.
Anyone who can answer my query pls !!! It is very urgent !
Thanks
Its very difficult to answer the question exactly. One of my relatives took a sabbatical and joined SPJ 1 yr program ( which is not exactly category 1 ) and now she is into a strategy team which looks into M&A.; Not very sure if that is a desirable place to be in TCS or not but sounds good !!!

Both the cases would be the same. In the first case, you would need to get yourself re-hired back to TCS. So if getting back to TCS is in your radar, taking a sabbatical seems a wiser option.
I think you can opt for sabbatical. Anyhow, there is no bond to return, you may well not rejoin the company. I took sabattical to do my masters from a Tier 1 social science institute in UK and returned. But, highly unsure you will get a proper MBA role.
I will have to resign from TCS after completing close to 1year 8-9 months(i.e.e a couple of mmonths short of completing 2year) for a govt. job. How to go about the resignation process for availing any relexation in the bond amount? I mean I shouldn't have to pay 50k for just a couple of months.
Also, I may not be in a position to give more than 2 week of notice because the the govt. deptt. doesn't give much time for that. How do I deal with this problem.
Hi friend, Please give me an idea! commerce graduate with 2 years experience in airline industry. I m planing to join 2012 batch for MBA, as i m thinking to take IT as my specialization. can you please suggest, is it a good option? as my education and work experience is in different background. I want to get into testing or BA field that's why i m opting for IT as my specialization. just completed my testing course and would like to know age limit for new folks to enter into IT.

I dont know if TCS will shorten your notice period. You can try for it. AFA, bond amount is concerned , that is negotiable given your dev manager agrees and tells the HR that this person has made decent contribution to the proj and so waive off x% of bond amount.

There is barely any age limit as such. And you are , I guess, not more than 23 yrs. You cant possibly imagine that there is an age limit at 23 !!!
Can anyone throw som light on pay packages offered by tCS after completeing MBA being on LWP. I am currently working in tcs since past 18 months nd wanting to pursue mba. Does it seem logical for me to wait for one more year (when i hav a sydenham in my hand this yr), take LWP (which i wil surely get next yr), persue mba nd com bak to TCS....does tcs offer comparable hikes to wat is offered in MBA colleges??
I joined tcs in jan 2012.After getting released from ILP got the project on first day in Mumbai. But the project turnred out to be really crappy- one of the domestic client .I had to work on cleint side where the work environment is worst, did not get separate pc and even not enough chairs to sit.Being the production support project, the work is also mundane type and has zero technical content. After working for two months i got jaundice and two times malaria. Can i get release from the project on this medical ground? Will it be safe to talk to PM for the release and then transfer to RMG?I mean do they consider this type of health issue? Need help, urgently!

You can get a transfer of location. I got that to my hometown ( New Delhi ) in a record 1 year ( the rule is 2 years or more ) !!!

Thanks for u reply bro.. but were u tagged in some project at the time of transfer. And on what basis u got the transfer? And will they consider this type of medical basis that i mentioned above?
I was in the telecom ISU proj when I applied for transfer. I got the transfer on the basis of illness and I also cited possibility of relapse !!! That is why I got a transfer to my hometown.

ok..would you like to tell wot illness it was exactly..if u feel comfortable.....i mean my basic confusion is this only that wot type of medical case or illness TCS consider for giving transfer.
If they reject my case then as we know it will affect rating ,appraisal etc n i have to work here for 2 yrs atleast as told by PL previously.

There is no time boundation to stay in a project. PLs say becuz they need u to just work for them (and not for urself) If one is shrewd then he can take the release whenever he wants....but yes do get into another project asap.
DEAR PUYS, i really need an info from you fast! does anyone know if 60% in class-12 a must must criteria for tcs???? my best friend in colg got placed in tcs...she had 65% in class-12 (best-4) bt only 59.6% if all subjects were considered....it is clearly mentioned in the eligiblity criteria that you must have 60% all throughout INCLUDING ALL SUBJECTS....she has her joining in chennai in september & was worried whether she will be disqualified during verification on the first day....plz give me your views or examples of known students who may have faced similar problems...plz reply fast!!
Very likely to be disqualified. Sorry. Is it "written" any where that u can exclude any 1 subject to inflate ur overall percentage?? Answer is NO. I know that ISC board students say best 4 - 5 n all but its all to either fool urself or ur relatives. Ask her to quote it as 60( if caught she can say she rounded off) However, I know ppl who are doing well in TCS and once they failed to cross even 60. So its all luck.

The package offered by TCS after LWP is a big big secret..!! However you can expect around 60-70% hike in salary..!! You will have to connect with RMG after MBA and then they will help you get a role as per your MBA..!!
The only advantage of LWP is that you have a backing of TCS in hand so you can always look for better packages during your placements. Being on LWP you should apply to companies giving more than 7+LPA. And you can always resign from TCS " No questions Asked"
