I talked with sudeep sir - he said they are disclosing the result for new courses on thursday and regarding affilation they will tell us later(don't know when).
And if they go with manipal university then we have to arrange our edu loan by ourselves.
well happy that the results for other courses would be released this thursday....
but not giving out info regarding aicte approval is simply not on..for me.. what if students join in a hope that the course would get aicte approval only to know later that it did not happen...
We prospective students also do not know the repercussions of doing a course without aicte approval..there are arguments and counter arguments....
it really tough for students....
TAPMI being one of the premier institutes ...I expect and hope that we get more clarity regarding all unresolved issues...
If i not get selected on thursday then it might be blessing in disguise but add more frustation
But if got selected then 2 things can happen:
1.If they got approval from AICTE then its fine i will get bank loan and things are done. 2.If they don't get AICTE approval then again 2 things can happen.
1.They will not start courses this year and all is over for us. 2.If they will start the course with manipal university,THEN .................
Which bank r u takin t loan from??? cuz TAPMI's a recognized institute... all nationalized banks giv loans to tapmi... guess ur tapmi call letter wud be sufficient... check out wit tat...
Hope tat helps...

hey puys,
i was going thru the checklist of the docs tht i need to produce in the bank to get the education loan. One of the doc tht is reqd is
"Supportive information about credential of the Educational Institute in which admission is desired"
which document will suffice this requirement of the bank... seniors and batch mates who have got their loan sanctioned, kindly help.

congrats to those who converted recently
Most banks already have a list of educational institutions that they can sanction loans for. TAPMI features on the lists of all banks, so it shouldn't be a problem. However, the "Supportive information about credential" is their way of asking for the Brochure. Just take the TAPMI Admission brochure along.
He said that the new courses would in all probability start under manipal university...
So wanna know if it will be a problem in getting a loan..as it doesnt have aicite approval.. I know TAPMI is among the preferred list of institutes in many banks.. But will this help even in the case of non aicte approved courses???

The only bad thing about a course not being approved by AICTE is the difficulty a candidate faces while getting a loan from the bank. Otherwise there is nothing bad about it. The best college in India, ISB Hyderabad, has not got its courses affiliated by AICTE. We still look up to joining that college, don't we? Regarding TAPMI, I believe that in the end we are getting our certificates from TAPMI and will be called TAPMians. However, getting a loan still remains an issue. Hope the courses start under AICTE and if they do not, let's hope that we do not face any difficulty in arranging for our loans.

I think we will get the certificate from manipal university finally and not from TAPMI.... , so we have got to explain to everyone the whole story.. i mean saying that "I am actually from TAPMI and not manipal university..blah blah.." ...may be even while shifting jobs we will have to do the same..
Hope we get some document to show clearly that we studied at TAPMI.....I think dats very important puys..what do you say??

Hey PeterBruce,
I know it for a fact that TAPMI features on PNB's "A" list of institutes. Once you apply for the loan, the manager will look up this schedule of institutes. After that your life should be smooth sailing all the way.
Congrats on the convert. See you at the institute.
