Called up Sudeep Sir an hour ago to get a perspective of where i lay in the waitlist and unfortunately what transpired literally means will not be able to convert PGDM. He was kind enough to say i had a good interview & essay score but the weightages they assign somehow gives that extra edge to engineers with work ex and that with my background (no engg, zilch work ex) it will be difficult. with sectoral programs, the AICTE nod is the main thing.. he said, like we all here know, hopefully :), that the programs will be started with the Manipal University degree incase the nod does not come (and given the fact that i'd mentioned IB instead of BFSI as the preferred option in the Director's Interview.. further complicates it for me 😞 )
Anyways, i'd like to thank all the seniors for their wonderful support throughout the process.. mentorship included. if there was a best thread award on PG, this one would have been right up there with the best

Nobody can be sure of that and it cant be predicted as per my earlier talks with Sudeep Sir.
Mate, if you can't make it into TAPMI with 96.73 percentile, what can I expect with 91.33? 
Though I have around 15 months of work ex...But I'm NOT an engineer!! :(

It's not that they are more skewed towards engineers, Atleast in my case.
I'm a fresher, commerce graduate wid 88.91 %ile in CAT (HAvin a TAPMI convert in my hand)..
I still have an intuition that no matter what happen, Interview and CAT scores are given highest and least weightage respectively.....
