the minimum interest rate which i have come across is 9.25%,wich is being chargd by canara bank. bt they are not to goin finance ur education without a collateral. And if u do not wish to pledge any security,then hdfc would be the best option fr u.tapmi is in the list of premier institutes as per hdfc and it provides unsecured lending upto 12 lac fr these institutes.u may also find in the previous posts that u can negotiate the rate of interest to as low as 10%.
Please tell me about mobile networks, std plans (any special plans), cost of laundry, mess food (veg/ non-veg)??
Most of the mobile networks work in the campus. However, there are some rooms, esp on the ground floor where the coverage may be low. Just pray that you dont get those rooms
The tariff plans are quite cheap, mostly per second. dont worry about that. cost of laundry is around rs5 per piece of clothing.
you get chicken and sometimes fish fry by paying Rs.25 during your lunch/dinner time.

Hii... can anyone guide me regarding the education loan...?? I went to SBI for the scholar loan and they told me they can't sanction the loan cause i am in the final year of my graduation and have to furnish my final year marksheet to avail the loan which can happen only in july/ august...!!

well dude..am with u....wat ive done is took a personal loan for a couple of mons and once I get my marksheets and memos, take the educational loan n repay dis personal loan...so dat is one thing u can do...
da other option wud be pay da 1st instalment (in case uve got bank balance) by your own and take da loan later, dis wud reduce the loan burden on u but rise the burden on our family..
We will most probably need to wear formal clothes for certain days like interviews, guest lectures, or during the first few days after we join.. But normally one can wear casual wear, which is decent enough..
At last a sigh of relief.I resigned today from my lovely organisation Alcatel-lucent and asked them to let me go by 25 june. booked my train on 28 from delhi and will be reaching on 30.june My Mngr says u will have to pay us a two weeks salary bcoz u r not serving the complete notice period,although he shud not have done that ,as i am not switching ,that what they fear the most.

Yes, we do have guest rooms where outsiders can stay provided you book them in advance. You can get in touch with the college regarding them. But the number of rooms are limited, so get in touch ASAP.

Yes, you can contact the college authorities to book the room or you can also stay at hotel in Manipal. There are number of good hotels like Green Park, Ashilesh, New downtown etc. . I guess the contact number of the following hotels will be mentioned in the call letter sent to you. They are cheap and you can get a AC room for around 300 bucks for a day. Auto's are easily available and it hardly takes 15 min to reach campus from Manipal....
Good news for all waitlisted people : I have now officially bowed out of the race for TAPMI. I've secured admission into Nanyang Business School, Singapore and will be joining in July/August.
FYI, I am waitlisted for TAPMI (this was my back-up option). All other waitlisted people can expect a movement (maybe small) as a result of this.
