If you want a Facebook/orkut group exclusively for your batch you may create one, but only if majority of your batchmates feel that there is a need for a separate group. At the moment there is still a lot of confusion with the results of other courses having not been declared and still no clarity as to who all would be joining. Even if there is a need for a separate group, please wait till you join TAPMI and then create one.
Let us know which site of any college giving PGDM say about it. Check IIMs, MDI , XLRI et all. Incase colleges are affliated to any university, they will give a proper MBA degree (eg: FMS).
B-Schools in India prefer not to get under any specific university and not to lose out on their autonomy in terms of course curriculum , delivery et all. And hence they go for PGDM option.

Please dont feel offended as this was a genuine query from my parents which left me confused although i am confident abt the grt legacy the institute has and when they asked me to tell the affiliation i wasn't able to get it.
1. No Sir please. @TAPMI , we (both batches) act as a single unit and use the first name.
2. Am not offended.But being an MBA aspirant , i would expect you to understand the difference between PGDM and MBA courses in India. Try to be more aware of the current affairs and general news items. Read more. Whatever comes in your hand.
3. I repeat what i wrote earlier, check any college which gives a PGDM (read diploma) if that course is affliated to any university. IIFT gives an MBA in IB.

Many trains from Mumbai go via the Konkan route. You can try Mangala Express, Matsagandha Express, Nethravathi Express and probably even the Trivandrum Rajdhni. It's a beautiful journey. Get off at Udupi. Take an auto to TAPMI new campus.
