@euphoric,,, when i asked sudip sir about any news from aicte, he said that if the govt has said they will decide on the approval by 26th, it does not mean that they will intimate the college about the same on the very day. so all of us have to wait till monday. govt offices are closed on sunday so all of us have to wait till monday. i know it is difficult for all of us but we have absolutely no alternative. we have to wait if no news comes today.

I don't know how the college will ensure that 240 (sectoral included) people join TAPMI by 1st July.
They aren't even ready to postpone the joining for the PGDM batch.
Atleast none of the converts here have posted about the date being pushed back.
Plus you can bet your bottom dollar that many of the students in the waitlist will be working professionals and will not take the chance of not serving the notice period and ruining their work experience.

I totally agree with Rohan that you guys should start preperation for cat 10 so that if you get call you can join but god forbid if you don't you will atleast have completed some preperation for cat

For the first time during my conversations with Sudeep Sir, I found him to be a little inconsistent, as what he said earlier actually contrasted to what he told me yesterday. I will avoid getting into details right now.
My personal observation; it is highly unlikely that all 240 seats will get approval now. I am disappointed & so will you all be. But this is what I could infer when I tried to probe him a bit further. Some courses might get approval, others may not.
Now about the joining dates. Most likely, joining dates would differ for people who get the offer late as to what others who got selected initially have got.
I tried to find the list of institutes approved by AICTE. But could not come across any. Few hours more & we still hope to find the answer.

As quoted in the latest e-mail from Ms. Sujatha, there are no guest rooms. There is however a list of hotels in Manipal and Udupi attached with the mail.

Dude, book a room at `Hotel Green Park', it offers the best value for money. My parents used to stay there when I was at MIT. I think the tel. no. has been provided by Ms. Sujatha madam in the latest mail from TAPMI.
Well..I think sectoral courses starting late would be no big deal. As their faculty, lectures, curriculum would all be different.
Besides, I don't think lectures would be conducted all over again for the 60 PGDM students who would be joining late.

Yes. Talked to him sometime back today. He said the college is still waiting for any information. They have been trying to find the information on the AICTE web site...The institute could have been more pro active. Instead of waiting for any information, they could have tried to gather the information from the department.
This has been the biggest disappointment & major let down till now this season.
All might be well if that ends well though.
yes you are pretty right. may be if we call him again he might say that they would get the information by the end of this week and again the same thing all over again.
Talked to Sudeep Sir again just now. Now he says that delay is on AICTE's side and it may take some more time for them to get clear picture.
I guess its over now. :-(
I am sure once the classes commence, they are going to find it hard to bridge the gap between those who joined earlier & those who join late.
