Is it okay to practice the same questions for Tier 2 preparation that we did for tier 1? For instance, I have Rakesh Yadav 7300, should I practice from this book or buy a different book consisting of tier 2 previous year questions only?

Essay Topic: "Aadhar Link -pros, cons" (Welcome All suggestions)

UIDAI, a statutory body under the Ministry of Electronics and IT, under the provisions of Aadhar Act, 2016 had launched a universal biometrics ID of citizens in 2010. Initially an optional means of availing certain benefits of national schemes, Aadhar now provoked serious questions on its dependability, since the govt. now announced its mandatory usage for the same benefits.

With schemes like DBTS, PDS, LPG, scholarships, Pensions, EPFO, passport, attendance utilising Aadhar, it rendered a systematic governance and distribution of benefits by the govt. Rolling out AEPS to strengthen digital economy after demonetisation was also a promising initiative, but , one can't truely and solely depend on this platform, since its not devoid of loopholes besides the not so strong legislative support to customers.

A data breach in banking industry few months back showed the reality of how secured our online systems were. With no security backup, our personal information is at risk being shared with the private and govt entities. Various risks like ID theft, phishing attempts, false rejection makes customer's concerns germane here. Since the IT Act also covers only the private sector, there is no grievance redressal if the govt is at fault.

To address these concerns, govt shall come up with various support schemes and security backups. Relevant laws shall be made to secure the metadata covering every element involved in the information transit process. With crucial acts like DNA profiling, reproductive rights of women, now the govt has to be more cautious in keeping manipulative elements at bay. Strengthening the world's largest biometrics database is the only key to ensuring safety and privacy of the nationals.
