Total marks = 80*45 =>3600
Pass = 55P
Fail = ( 80 - P ) * 30
Hence 3600 = 2400 - 30P + 55P
1200 = 25P
P = 48
F = 80 - 48 =>32
Check the options carefully to decide this one on less than 10 seconds -
1. 28*8/10 --------- Not possible
2. 18*8 / 9 = 16 Possible
3. 84*8/12 = 56 Not possible
4. 36*6/9 = 24 Not possible
hence answer is 2.
