what is the meaning of 1 and 2 written under AAO, JSO, EQJSO and EQAAO categories in the pdf?

first timer in cgl,.. everyone talking of marks required for a particular post. So, do SSC ask for our preference of posts, becoz in form we only filled A,B,C,D indicating the group of posts, not the individual posts like MEA or CSS or IT ???
