MISSION ANTOYADAYA
India one of the fastest developing economies is still a land of more 35 crore poor people who hardly earn less than 2 dollar per day . To solve this issue that exist mainy in rural the department of rural development started mission Antoyadaya.
The goverment of India in year 2017 launched the mission antyodaya with an aim to bring 1 crore people out of poverty and make 50000 gram panchayts poverty free by2019. In this mission the goverment released the ranking of different gram panchayats on basis of infrasturcture,socio economic development,women empowerment,financial inclusion and health ,nutrition and livelihood. A village from telangana came first in this ranking .This was done to promote as spirit of competition so that each and every gram panchayat tries to improve.
5,000 Clusters comprising of nearly 50,000 Gram Panchayats have been selected by the States .There will be partnership with local Ngo to help goverment achieve its goal .Asha and anganwadi workers will also participate in this mission. Over 25 departments and ministries of Central and State Governments will be participating in this Mission
- Financial and Social audit at grassroot level. The data from different schemes would be put in public domain for complete transparency.
End to end targeting by use of technology to ensure that benefits reach those who are most deserving as per SECC data
This mission has been launched due to some defects in previous mission there was less inter ministerial cooperation where every ministry was launching its own scheme .This mission tries to converge minitries so that better outcomes can be recieved. Poverty being a multidimesional thing needs coperation among various department.There was also not a proper criteria of people who come under poverty in previous mission.
