Don't you guys think that Mr. Khurana has done quite a great job in managing the exam process of ssc even after such huge criticism and ruckus by the exam protesters? Although I agree there was some genuine concern apart from the vested interests of others.

Some people got hyper after seeing Chu_maths cutoff----
Let me tell you one thing and then you can hit "LIKE"
Avg marks in Maths (9th march)- 132
Avg marks in English (9th march) - 158
Total Avg marks in T2= 132+158=290
15000 people scored 150+ in Prelims this year. Last year too 150+ people were 27000 in prelims of CGL16 but only 6000 scored 300+ in Mains last year. Last year this made the tally to = 150+300=450 and which was true as avg score of 60 in T3 last year made this tally to swell upto 510 and roughly that was the last NIP cutoff in UR ( Note: 6000 people i am considering because UR posts are nearly 5200-5300 in UR)
So conversion rate of roughly 25% ( 6000/27000 ~ 0.25) . This year 15000 scored 150+ So after applying conversion rate of 25% we get = (15000 x 0.25) = 3750 people [ ~ 4000 people ]. This is a conservative estimate since many prepare for Maths dillogently but forget English contribution. And 290-300 was not easy to score this year as 140 in maths and 160 in english is still needed to make it upto 300.
Last year 300 score can be equated with 290 of this years as seen in the above avg table. ( rest other shifts had lower avg marks in T2)
So 150+290=440 this year ( for 4000 people). From this a conclusion can be drawn that 430+ is safe score for UR for securing NIP (as 6000 people has to be taken on account) and 440+ is super safe.
My take on cutoffs
430+60=490 will fetch NIP posts in UR , add +5 for more competition so 495 is the final cutoff
Rest 440+ is super safe for this year in UR , they should prepare for T3 dilligently

Expected cut off of MEA for SC?
I guess many people dont know why Excise cutoff goes low and why Vacancies are in South Only !!! Today I will try to answer but you can ask 2 guys here who are excise inspectors themselves and are present on PG @Defense @Lathicharge
Many people joining excise were north Indians in the last 5-6 years of CGL history, so they took Excise south and went to north after serving for 4-5 years in South through ICT (Inter charge transfer). When you ask for ICT then you loose your seniority in the new zone. That is if you had done 5 years of service in chennai excise zone then on transfer to Lucknow excise zone then you will be treated as a fresher and you will lose all your seniority.
Thats why many dont opt for Excise as now there is a huge shortage of Excise inspectors in Southern zone due to earlier transfers and no North Indian wants to reside in SOuth for more than 4-5 years. Thats why now Bangalore region Excise will not entertain any ICT request from Excise inspectors unless very important.
This means that new Excise inspectors will have to spend nearly 10-15 years minimum in South India. And after that if you will ask for ICT to North India then you will lose your 10-15 years of seniority and will have to start afresh. Thats why people take excise as the last option in IP vacancies. Also promotions are slow in Excise. 1st promotion usually takes 8-10 years.
