Finally,Zone allocation of Tax Assistants and Inspectors in CBDT has been done. Now, how much time it will take to issue offer of appointment by concerned Chief Commissioners of Income Tax? Does anybody know? Please answer....

First and Foremost Congratulations to all who have qualified for SSC posts. May you all have a bright future ahead.

This is to ask about some details about the the job offers in CGL.

I am interested to sit for the exam from next year.
I have completed my MBA this year and currently working in HCL Technologies Ltd. from last 4 months.

Please tell me about the remunerations (approximate range of in hand salary) and locations (state specific or nation wide) where CGL guys are posted.

Also please give some references/books suggestions for preparations.

yes su you are right it is expected to be completed by this month end by every possibility.But the above news is wrong ,it is for sure..............

It's an appointment involving all India liability. Your first posting will depend on your rank in the exam. To do well work on basic english and maths.

Please suggest good books for English...

Instead of going directly to books please work on english fundamentals like direct and indirect narration, tense, vocabulary, use of prepositions etc. To develop good command over the language make it a habit to read at least for half an hour a day, anything in english that interests you, be it a novel or a magazine. Daily dose of a National Daily is a must. Believe me nothing works like this. I scored 171/200 in tier II (Roll No. 2201564569) without ever preparing a single day for english.

To bring to notice, I have already prepared for CAT (and completed my MBA)... I am actually looking for practice sets of CGL level... Coz for CAT it was Barrons, Lewis and all which might be out of context for CGL..


Thanks for the compliment. Your profile suggests you r experienced enough to deal with CGL. Just keep working on ur basics. After all there is always a room for improvement.

The zone allocation of TA in CBDT has done on 3rd august.So already 15 days have passed.Now what are the further procedure before joining and how much the procedure has advanced?When may we expect joining?SSC chief tweeted that most of the dept has told to issue offer of appointment letter by one month time.But is it possible to do all procedures by this time?

I know this is not the appropriate thread to ask it but relevant thread se answer nahi mila and theres an urgency......Someone plz help me in making out the syllabus for tier 2 paper 3. What do i have to study? Statisticss commerce economics or maths ? Or everything? Aur time nahi hai i will have to prepare for this paper kidly help with pattern and syllabus. Last year k bando help. Someone was saying ki isbaar sirf statistics aayega agar aisa hai to ssc ne statistics commerce maths and economics kyun likha hai

I have also gone through last CGL's Paper III and passed it.
According to me the syllabus was not too hard to worry about. I did not read a single line for the respective paper and cleared it and got a chance to attend interview session for the post of Statistical Investigaror.
As you are saying, I am not aware about the remaining subjects but for if are a commerce student then I suggest you to choose commerce only. Questions from commerce used to appear easy than other's. Remaining subjects are of graduation level. Economics is not a good choice, if you have any other subject from the list. That's it from my side due to myself being a commerce student.

going by the current trend in CBEC, ye to CBEC waalo ko bhi nahi pata hoga....hum bachcho ke saath 'OFFICE-OFFICE' khel rahe hain ye log...:P 😛
