@AintSaint AFAI remember, in the GEPI process they told that merit list would be out in the 2nd week of March.
GEPI experience 25/02/2013:
Entered into the campus of SIBM-B arround 8:30 after a one hour tiring journey in traffic (Better visit the campus previously and estimate the time required so that u start early)
It was exciting to meet Seniors whom i have been interacting in pagalguy...They were really helpful through out the process and big thanx to all of them for making us feel soo comfortable...
actual process started arround 9am.A brief introduction about SIU and SIBM-B was given. After that document verification was done we were sent for GD.Topic was " should the content on internet be censored" Though it went on kind of OK..the pannel was not satisfied.They said it was noisy.
After GD We were given a sheet of paper to write SOP.Be careful while you answer these questions because u will be asked about it in ur PI.
My PI wasn't that good. I am from a technical background.So they asked me why not i pursue my career in technical side. I tried to convince them. But they tried to convince me that MBA is not a right choice for me.The whole interview was running arround the same thing

@akshatghai Ya there was an extempore..it was about "the world-before google and after google"...No technical questions...They tried to convince me that mba is not a right option for me...
Hello Puys esp. Seniors...i had my ge/pi today at 1 in the afternoon
I left at 10:30 am from frazer town but was able to make it only by 1:30 pm bcoz of traffic and one lady fainting in my bus to electronic city...neways..
I was in panel C which had a sibm lady faculty on the left, then a industry guy(arnd 35 yrs) in the centre and on the right a old industry person(arnd 50-55 yrs)..
So lets go on!...
Had not taken the print out of snap admit card and scorecard in that window of 10th jan to 10th feb so had to tok to Ms. Shobha who was i guess heading the verification process..
Neways i wrote the undertaking and then waited for GD col...
16-17 people had come in my group and we were given 20 minutes to discuss upon "profit is the only business of business" and all i can say is i had a grt GD...contributed a lot..came in with points such as....Bill and Melinda gates foundation....Azim premji foundation...Premji's recent contribution of $2bn to it...ITC's E-choupal and Leed Platinum certified Grand Chola..having more leaders such as premji and bill gates and stuff....in all it was grt...
The were asked to summarize....it was again good...den asked to fill the Sop...with 3 questions..
1.) if after mba u get an opprotunity to setup a business...what wud that be and why?
2.) 2 inspirations in ur life?
3.) how will sibm help in the long run?
Inbetween had a really great interaction with other members also the seniors esp. Mr. Raghav Aggarwal kudos to u sir! :)..
Then started with the interview at 5:15 pm..
Extempore was : "west vs the rest"...
Again talked about cultural differences between america and india, the industries and industrial revolution in america how india is also coming up with companies such as infosys and tcs...den talked aboutthe educational system, also about music, art and movies so delivered a lot of content...i also talked about avatar as my favourite movie! And had pronounced it as avatar(as a hindi word)..
Oldie : first of all its not avatar(hindi) its avatar(american pronunciation)!!!
Me: no sir, not at all...the only difference between avatar(hindi) and avatar(american) is the way of pronunciation

Me: not at all sir, avatar is my favourite movie and i know a lot about it...considering that i can tell u certainly that it is a hindi word and means the same in both hindi as well as the english dictionary and also the meaning shown in the movie tell u that..!!

Then it went on about my aim of setting up a retail chain...having already got a decent retail business dealing in electronics back in delhi...
They appreciated my research on this as i had told them about local examples like girias and sangeetha mobiles being businesses worth 500-600 crores..
Also, i was able to answer certain other questions in a good manner...
But dey were not actually impressed by how mba is gonna help me achieve that and tried to grill me on that...i tokd about credibility for my potential new investors and also my customers to an extent...but then they said how r customers gonna get affected by it...i told about ,ba giving a profile and polishing my skills and personality but they really didn't seem interested and,..
In the end said that..dont beat arnd the bush give the right, straight answer but were not allowing me to speak..as i was again toking about the same topics..i also gave some more examples about micromax mobiles being a similar business in NEhru place then graduating to manufacturing... but they dint listen...and really started saying things which were ajeeb! Like "wen u go back home think about wat u did in this interview" they really grilled...
And i don't know whats gonna happen...My friends!!!Plzz say something!! I want ur opinions

I wasn't asked a single question outside my SOP. They didn't ask about my academics, work-experience or current affairs. Although they did ask if I was from Punjab, so I think they had a fair idea about my basic details.
That's why I'm wary of reading someone else's PI experience and presuming that I would be asked a similar set of questions just because the panel is the same.

@AintSaint N they started talking through my extempore, my work ex. Also indirect ways of asking very basic questions...
