C(10,2) - 3*C(4,2) = 27 ?

No no...triangles right angles nahi hain sab...
Ex- select any horizontal or vertical line..select any possible 2 points on that line and the third point can lie anywhere you want...so third point will be on a axis which is perpendicular to those 2 points...
So, for points (0,0) and (0,1) .. I can select any damn point except (0,2) and (0,3) .. right ?

options were close to 9xxx
4*4 grid...25 points...
25C3 = 2300 (isme straight lines wale cases bhi hatane hain)...so 9xxx to possible nahi hai

YES...

dont know...@Brooklyn told option were in range of 9xxx....

kuch possible cases aur bhi hain jo ek horizontal ya vertical line mein 2 points na ho...
like (0,0), (2,1), (1,3)...and I dont know how to count them...so answer 2100 se jyada hoga...options hote to bttr hota..

i guess we are saying same thing

What if I select (0,0) and (1,2) .. ? Then, I can select any point i.e. 14 points, because every point lies in the perpendicular axis joining those two points .. axes are not fixed, right ?

No no...it cant be any point...ibut han...(3,1), (3,2) (3,3) ye possible ho payenge...

hmm...got your point...i think we should stick to the X axis and Y axis..warna all possible triangles answer ho jayega..

Arey sirf wohi kyu ? Also (3,2) is already counted in the earlier horizontal cases becauses (1,2) and (3,2) lie on a horizontal line..

Uff.. give up .. Exam me next click karunga !

Yah, that's why I got confused about the triangular plane triangles ! If they want to ask all possible triangles.. We can just do 16C3 - (8C1)*(4C3) - (2*4C3) - (4)

Total - (3 points from a hori or verti line) - (3 points from the diagonal of 4*4) - (4 extra selections of points which lie on straight line) ...

Kuch miss ho gaya ho to bata dena

Arey par.. agar 16 non-collinear points hote.. to answer 16C3 hota for all possible triangles .. and that is = 560 ... 9xxxx would be tough to get .. :P

Sirjee.. Kuchh Achhe Geometry questions discuss kar lo.. Similar Triangles ke concept pe.. M L Khanna se utha lo.. Mujhe TAG kar dena..

ML Khanna nahi hai mere paas πŸ˜ƒ .. Tu hi idhar daal de.. aur mujhe tag kar de.. mera to waise hi geometry weak hai :)

@fisherking @Estallar12 @Ibanez @hanushanand Yaar ek doubt clear karo.. Wo jo formula hai naa
(P)^2/ 48, P = even
(P+3)^2/ 48 , P = odd

Usme kounsa wala integer function lagta hai ?
Say, P = 30 , then what will be the answer ?
