Hello Puys,
This was my first ever real interivew (so don't expect me to be smart in my conduct ;D)
17th oct LHO Bangalore panel 1
GD: Is Presidential Form of goverment good or bad for india?
Reached Bangalore at 7:00am but had difficulty finding the address and finally reached bangalore LHO at 8:20 am (20 mins late!).
A guy asked why am i late? and i told him the truth that iam new to bangalore and had difficulty finding the address, he belived me and allowed me inside (not the kind of first impression that i was thinking i would make).
The guy directed me to the second floor where verification process has already started, one of the employee asked me to wait in a room and i went inside,... 6 guys were already waiting in the room, i didn't knew they were candidates since they were far too older than me and mistakenly asked for the permission to enter! (another bummer) one of the candidates smiled, and said, "ya come we are also interview candidates here" (at this point i felt like sh!t).
After 15 mins of waiting, I was called for verification and it went quickly and smoothly without any trouble. I was the only one who completed the verification process that quickly in my panel (finally hurrray!, atleast one positive thing), it took just 5 mins and i was done!.
After that another 30 mins of waiting followed, then we were called for GD in the 4th floor and I went quickly as possible to the GD room only to find that i have been put in the most far away corner for the HR seats (3rd bummer) and to add to that,. my number was 13! (i do belive in luck, so 4th bummer),.. and thats not all, to my right 2 candidates were absent and to my left one was absent, so i was sitting far away from any candidates and looked kinda isolated (not the kind of impression i wanted to give to HR's, 5th bummer). 5 HR's finally came (4 men and a lady), GD started and Topic was,
"Is presidential form of goverment good for india?"
In my panel, 2min was given to each candidate according to the seating arrangement (ah that sucks, 6th bummer). when my turn finally came (last one to speak) all the points that i have jolted down were already spoken so no over the top points to tell (jezz, 7th bummer).
Then 15 min open talk, didn't opened my mouth, (this was my first real job interview and gd after graduation, but this is not an excuse its just some gyaan about me!) at the end HR not impressed about me (8th bummer).
Then 2 min was given to each candidate for conclusions and in this i performed well putting forward some strong points (which i thought were strong anyways). and with that My first GD done!.
A sigh of relief,.... (my worst fear GD is finally over Hurray! 😁 )
Then we were escorted to another a/c room, gave us meal tokens, coffee and water. (ah, it really helped in relaxing and focusing about interview)
Interviews started, and 3 hrs later came my turn! (I was exhausted as sh!t at this point).
HR's were also tired,..they started asking questions:
Questios:
HR 1:
1. why banking after B.E?
(as you have guessed it, my grad is B.E)
2. full form of M.K.Gandhi?
(simple one, answered it)
3. who called gandhi " mahatma"?
(simple one but did't knew, said don't know)
4. when was Congress Party Started and by whom?
(simple one but didn't knew, said don't know)
5. Full form of WTO?
6. Pro's and con's of WTO?
HR 2: (the lady)
1. Goal or Ambition in life?
(I prepared for this question very well and made my sales pitch, i said i want to be in a position to help people get on their feet particularly rural villagers. (i think they bought it))
2. Do you have a rural background?
(I said No)
3. are you willing to serve in rural areas, if we give you the job?
(i said, i prefer rural than urban. (went a little over the top there))
HR 3 & 4:
No questions
HR 5:
Ok kiran you can leave you have done the interview well! ( I think he told that just to unnerve me and to never really meant it 😞 (final bummer))
2:30 PM
Left the LHO complex,.. and headed home.
For some strange reason I felt I achieved something (though i did terrible in my interview). Came Home jolted down all my mistakes and areas that i need to improve.
Overall, the experience was awesome, I dont think I would get the Job. But, the positive things that i got out from this whole experiece is truly priceless.
That's all puys, thank you reading this.
(sorry if it is to lengthy,... kinda got carried away ;D)
