my correct attempts in GK are 74, 6 wrong

Extension of green revolution in NE states is part of RKVY and the crop is paddy!!
I think correct answers to the above could be
1) Robinhood tax- Tobin Tax
2) NTPC- Gujarat
3) g8 member - Canada
4) 12th plan- ensuring transparency in governance
5) green revolution in N.E - Pulses oilseeds
6) risk in finacial stability- well it was said by almost all tom **** and harry, I didnt attempt but could be world bank or imf

In 12th Five year plan (2012-2017) draft paper , a separate chapter has been included on tackling corruption and good governance!! Your answer is correct!!!

Hi

sorry but i disagree....Y shud cut off increase on Yoy basis in the frst place... i think it shud depend on the overall pattern of toughness and time frame of the exam if we have to compare year to year results... n based on that it shud decrease this year... what do u think puys??

ATB

This time all questions carry equal weightage!!!
It's difficult to predict about the notification date of examinations unless its through UPSC, which maintains exam calendar of 1 year on its website!!

I think Neelam is on track. Last year time available was 110 min (QA+ENG+LR) whereas this time it was 85 mins only. Secondly, last year the number of options available with regard to total number of questions was higher (40+40+80) whereas this time it was (30+30+60). Correspondingly the cut off can be assessed to be somewhere in between 93-96 for Gen category candidates. It can be on the lower side also!!!!

Hi

I had read it somewhere on RBI site i guess ... the weightage this year is not equal... weightage for GK is more (1.6) than all other subjects which have equal weightage of 0.75.

Hi,
Just go through the pamphlet given by RBI with admit card. In addition, it was mentioned in the question paper too. Till last year nd before it was different weightage for gk and other sections!!

Not sure what to write.
Just went in to write an exam before XAT, and I crashed big time in LR.

Attempts:

GA: 80 (Accuracy!! Eh!)
English: 30 (Must be a clean sweep)
QA:22 (Oh boy! The time flew and I found myself hanging in some stupid questions)
LR: 47 (Damn!!!! I left two whole caselets!! How could I even do that?)

This was no breaker or maker for me but I am truly disappointed by myself as I could not do the 8 question set, though I wasted my 4-5 minutes on it.

I think right answer is vegetable...

read the first para on first page... its not clearly mentioned which is one 'focus crop' but indicated that special attention will be given to oilseeds fruits vegetables etc.. (and not wheat or paddy)

Guys total marks for GK remains same,80, for last year n this year.
obviously weightage has changed.
its 1 mark/question this time for all questions.
Rbi did this so that somebody who rotted/fluked up GK dint gain considerable upperhand dis time. last year someone getting 40 gk qns right wud get 64marks as in now he gets just 40. 24 marks can make/break ur selection.

Hi,

Vegetables is generally not considered as a crop. Growing Vegetables is a type of horticulture and horticulture is associated with golden revolution and not green revolution!!!
Secondly, primary focus of green revolution was self sufficiency in food grain production and not vegetable production.
Thirdly, NE states have a good geographical and geological suitability for paddy cultivation.
Fourthly, this is one of the sub-schemes of Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana launched for 2011-2012. One of the sub-scheme is definitely increase in production of vegetables but for NE states the primary focus is paddy!!
Hope now it's clear to you!!!
