Hello frnds

does d final merit(i.e. afta interview) takes into account d prelims marks also or its just kinda screening fo mains...???
akash14 Saysdoes d final merit(i.e. afta interview) takes into account d prelims marks also or its just kinda screening fo mains...???
no... prelims score is not taken into account...its just an entrance u need to clear the cutoff marks.....score in the mains n the interview is very important....the more u score the more are the chances of getting into RBI........
Puys who have got through RBI, can u pls shed some light on how to prepare for Phase 2.... Which books to refer to as well as the strategies.....sorry for ignorance as this was my first attempt and i think I'll clear the cut offs but i am totally unaware on how to prepare for phase 2. Sorry for my ignorance. Thanks in advance....
what could be the cutoff?
It was really tough exam as compared to last 2 years. Hope the cutoff will be very low for all the sections. As the cutoff for last year was very low. Somebody had got cut off mark in RTI last year where cutoff was very low. Now, who has attempted maximum no. of questions with accuracy will clear the exam.
my attempts:
ga:64
eng: 18
quant: 12
reas: 32
Exam was tough this year....expecting the cutoff to be on a lower side.
My attempt:
GS: 75 (All correct)
English: 15 (10-12 correct)
Quant: 10 (9-10 correct)
LR: 25 (20-22 correct)
Dont know whether I will clear the cutoff or not...fingers crossed
taking into account the toughness of this year paper and last year cut off....i guess cut off should hover around 100-110 not more than that.........lets wait n watch........result is expected to come around 20th of january......fingers crossed
Hi
Wud really appreciate if nyone cud clarify:
1) The extra weightage of 1.5 (i guess) given to GK this time and just .75 given to rest 3. Will it effect the cut-off? Was the difference in weightages there in last exams also?
2) Ny chance of fresh recruitment for grade b officers starting in feb-march like it happened this year?
Thanks!

Hi there
1) Coal ministry had given in-principle approval for allotment of five coal blocks to four NTPC thermal power plants in Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Orissa and Madhya Pradesh ...so the answer was gujarat.
2) Robinhood tax = Tobin tax
G-8 ka answer = China
12th five yr plan emphasis wale ques ka answer i think shud be the choic about tackling corruption... thats what i marked... hope its right

Hi
I think that was the range for last year's cut off.... if u think this year was tougher then total cut off shud be somewhere around 90-100
ATB
I think correct answers to the above could be
1) Robinhood tax- Tobin Tax
2) NTPC- Gujarat
3) g8 member - Canada
4) 12th plan- ensuring transparency in governance
5) green revolution in N.E - Pulses oilseeds
6) risk in finacial stability- well it was said by almost all tom **** and harry, I didnt attempt but could be world bank or imf
