Hi Seniors,
Thanks for all the help you have provided regarding the different phases of the RBI exam. This has certainly helped a lot of people including me in preparing for the exam and getting through till phase 2.
It would be really helpful if you would be able to provide some tips regarding how to prepare for the interview and the exact things to be taken care of to ensure success. :cheers:
In addition, if possible it would be really helpful if you or some of your batchmates would be able to post their interview experiences.

Congrats !!. Now i become your junior. Preparing for Phase 1 Exam "Group B" which is to be held on Dec 18 2011. Provide me guidance on the following,

1)Since i am currently working, how much do we need to put in for daily preparaton
2)Books that you have followed
3)Magazines you have referred
4)Insights gained after taking up examination

I wld like to advice you to give the exams of RBI DEAP & DISM department for which Economics Hons are eligible. These are the main departments of RBI deciding monetory policies.
For Grade B exam preparation:
General Awareness:- Read ET & pratiyogita Darpan monthly magazine for the period June 11 to November 11.
Other Sections:- Buy BSC publications PO papers detailed solution book & solve daily 1 paper with time limit of 30 minutes to each section. After time limit check your answers & write down your score, no. of questions attempted, no. of right questions, wrong questions etc. & then solve the remaining questions which u cld not solve in time limit. This will give you idea about the preference to be given to the questions while solving papers.

hello seniors....

first of all ..very congratulations to all those who successfully cleared rbi written exam..

i want to know about different roles and responsibilities which RBI offers after induction in this most coveted organisation...

Since I am already in financial services industry and had specialisation in one particular field, i.e., fixed income market....is it possible to get the desired role in the organisation, or everything depends on the respective panel who allocates role..

Also, what kind of role one gets in RBI generally after passing this exam..is it in research department( economy, industry, companies) ; capital market; credit department etc.

Seniors please throw some light on these queries and do add if anything extra is there to share ...
