hello puys. sorry for this question but i seriously need info about this RBI grade B thing.
I have cleared the 1st stage, but i don't know what the grade B thing is all about. whats the job profile? is there any training period? how much is the salary offered? what are the career prospects?
thanks in advance
The thing that you need to decide is, whether you want a 'Settled life' (coz promotions, salary hikes.. Everything will happen according to a fixed schedule) or you are more interested in the Corporate life where you are most likely to have hectic work life but also, great remuneration and career progress. RBI, will be a chilled life but then again, personally, I would say IIFT is better any day because you can have a great future. With RBI, it's all pre-decided and you'll follow a path similar to others like you.
Yes, you may rise to D. Gov but that would be in your fifties :). If you have larger ambitions, IIFT should be the place (or IIM I).
Essentially, it comes down to a Settled, Sarkari life (10-6 job) where salaries change slower than govts. or a corporate life where the prospects can be much better (with a very hectic work life and maybe, very little time for yourelf).
hey, u told that salary is 40,000 pm but the ctc is 10 lac then what about the rest of 5.2 lac if 40,000 includes DA & HRA??
hi guys,
please tell me when will the examinations forms will be out for r b i grade a,b,c?
"Cross the bridge when it comes". Phase 2 and intrvw are still left. Lets concentrate our energies on Phase 2 right now. Salary discussions can wait for the time being...thats what i believe...
Ppl who have already appeared for Phase 2 in the past, please share your experiences..

Why do you need this forum then, sire?
I guess you need to read this:

Be friendly with others and have fun. No point criticizing people and attacking them under the cover of a userid 😃

puys this is no way to talk to people here. no one is here to waste his her time. remember that we all are aspirants and we desire to be successful. people are good enough to help each other here and that too without any selfish motives. if you don't find anyone's post relevant then kindly don't spread foul mouth. there are better ways to communicate and convince people about your feelings and thought. refrain from such behavior please.
regarding the salary thing i raised the question because i need to make a decision between a few choices. it's true that it might not be the right time to raise this questions for others but it was important for me to know about it. I'm thankful for all the replies to my query. the RBI thing is too big but still i will go with my MBA. no comparison but just my career plans.
PEACE.
and please maintain sanity in this thread an all over pagalguy.
I don't think there should be a problem in discussing anything. And as someone has already said, the Salary question can be best answered by someone working, selected or with the know how. Doesn't hurt to pose the question :). My only answer is that, in that 10L ctc, they have accounted for residence, loan facilities and other amenities and that takes away some money that you won't be seeing in cash.
Preparation
A few pointers.
1. Practice writing answers. This is the "Master Key" that will decide everything. Take the simple example of a question on LPG. Everyone knows about the 1991 reforms and what happened thereafter. But when it comes to writing, fitting in the knowledge in the right words in limited word count makes all the difference. Hence, you need to write an answer and then sometime later (not immediately, mind you), analyse it to see where you can improve.
2. If you haven't, take a look at the 2009 paper. The questions are pretty normal and all that is required is to make your answer hit the target precisely. This means, no flashing around with long drawn explanations, giving Examples from the current scenario (reading RBI's Quarterly report can help as you can cite from it if you get a chance). Govt's policies on difference Economic challenges, RBI's stance etc can be good citations.
3. NCERTs
The XI and XII Ncerts for Economics are a very good starting point for anyone. Even if you are reading Dutt, Mishra or anything at all, I would say, take a break and go for the Ncerts. It covers all the basics (Poverty, Unemployment, Health, Education, Rural Dev, Sustainable Dev, BOP, Banking etc). Reading any book after this will help you build on the fundamentals. Infact, for the topics covered by the Ncerts, even not reading anything else may work (may).
puys can anyone tell me a gud book for managment, one which has less details and just simple explanations
rat619 Sayspuys can anyone tell me a gud book for managment, one which has less details and just simple explanations
Consider this:
socio-economic - 50 %
Finance - 30 %
managemnt - 20%
Since the questions would be general in nature, L M Prasad is good enough for the preparation.
Thanks...
