There s a point in worryin if the results are not disclosed.. but they 've clearly put our names in the list.. then why do u break ur heads???
I have been reading people's dilemma in this thread about joing RBI assistants over PO.
Let me share some knowledge I acquired during my 1 year of service in United bank of India abount bank officers...Right now the promotional chances in nationalised banks is extremely high..people joining as PO in age of 23-24 can become Chief manager(scale-IV,basic 36200,sal-65k+) by the age of 35....DGM by 42-43(sal-82k+) and GM by 45(sal-87k+)...The vacancy will remain high as there is an extreme vacuum at higher level..so if you solely want the salary and go up the ladder real fast then choose PO as career option.
Avoid the PO if u dislike rural posting(at least for 3 years,a must according to policy),frequent transfer(one of my friends has seen 9 branches & 4 states in 1 year in Indian Bank),Incompetent Management(lack of people forced the banks to grant unjustified promotions)..terrible infrastructure & outdated machines(particularly in my bank)...Unresponsive & mostly unsupportive staffs & officers(almost everyone is looking for evasion of work...U will have to do most work as junior),tremendous work pressure(not true if not posted in branches) which ruins the chance of further study & lastly handling customers who may or may not be happy with the service U give...might complain for everything & approach HO,ombudsman invoking administrative action.
My branch manager(Scale-III) talks about resignation OFTEN...after doing his job as soundly as he could...he has to endure threats for transfer, abusive language(like "THIS IS UR BRANCH'S PROGRESS??HOW CAN U SLEEP WITH UR WIFE AT NIGHT?)everyday. Higher Level Management orders to bring files to R.O at 7 P.M during day end, calls up & demands for files whenever, wherever they want, absolutely offensive & foul language at managers' meeting, frequent A/C opening camps & demand to arrange 20 loans in 20 days.He is practically a slave to his bosses orders, either meet them or get deported to Assam!!!
Managers and deputy managers almost get no leaves at all...the condition of deputy managers is worse....he has to do everything if no other officers cooperate...exhaustive work all day long...the Dy Manager at my branch spends almost 11 hours at branch!!
So there it is folks...look before U leap...cheers!!![]()
today I got myself medically checked up
