Hey guys I had my interview at Mumbai on 3oth august by board 2. The verifying officer told me some 29o students were qualified out of 770 as hence good chance for everyone to get selected. In my batch out of 43 ,only 3o were eligible n among them there were 2gals who had their moms working at RBI and they immediately started to influence the people. so minus 2 seats guys from Mumbai. And ppl one thing the officer informed that RBI will be giving first preference to local candidate. he said results will be out by mid Oct n joining will take 2 months time as there will be medical tests n character certificate requirement from police station which takes time.thats y d delay.

Lucrative? From what many people are saying-- this is only a data entry job that s not really challenging or anything- i think... But i have a doubt...
Assistant is a "clerical" post...
but even then-- regional director himself is heading the panel.... if u see-- if- it's an officer interview- it makes sense.. besides-- recruitment is happening after so many years-- which means- they have probably expanded the operations for which assistants are needed-- job profile for the same has been changed--- tht's one option...
a friend of mine said-- sometimes people like regional directors are very enthusiastic abt interviews and want to genuinely contribute in recruitment... tht too is a possibility...
"Lucrativeness" for me comes from the fact-- working in "RBI"... Isn't that good enough?
if u passed your graduation and hsc ssc let suppose from Bangalore and if you are applying for Mumbai post as it has more number of post then you will get rejected
let me describe my interview exp...i was 3rd candidate of board 2 so my interview took place at 11.45am.the panel members had just received snacks and they were relishing the plum cakes cream biscuits and soft drink..3rd member was totally engrossed in his snacks for most of the part.. ;) questions were asked like y u left previous job,why u want to work here?how wud u identify fake n genuine notes,functions of rbi,cash flow in ur understanding explain it,...when thw two members were done they asked third members any questions,by that time his snacks had finished and he checked my biodata for 1st time and asked whats the composition of air,,,after my prompt reply he asked composition of blood pat came the reply,then last q how many governors and deputy governors in rbi..I answered it in 5secs flat..quite impresssed they asked me to leave..I thanked all of them and left.My tip would be even if u go wrong answer it confidently..They might not know the correct answer themselves.they will judge u by ur confidennce.So guys n gals be superconfident read the two pdfs from rbi website n download it in ur mobile,,it helped me a lot...
