Went to RBI chandigarh office today. the concerned person had left for the day, but i talked to some other people there. all were quite warm and welcoming on learning that i was going to join.
when i told that i dont know anyone for surety they said i can get it signed from anyone related to me even if he is not a government or bank employee, but asked to confirm from HR on wednesday.
i asked them if the union will help me but they said this area union is non active and this varies from region to region.

I will go to either Omni or Inscol both are in 34A , i am not sure if they are good or no. My Plan is to go there on wednesday .
guys i have also cleared AO exam for New India Assurance, now bit confused as to what should i choose should i go for RBI or AO would appreciate if you guys can suggest me something
Go for AO. AO job salary is much more and job is also not that stressful .

i dont think any case registered against your name earlier will be found out as the police officers will dont give a shit to this employment procedure. if they wanted to take responsibility in this process, they why would they ask for your friends' sign. even then keep some money handy

went to RBI today. Completed all formalities except character certificate from college.
I was directed to the employees association. Mr Mahipal Singh is the head and was very helpful. They arranged surety for me and helped with the whole process.
They even asked me to send anyone else who needs help to them.
If anyone needs help with anything in RBI chandigarh they can talk to Mr Mahipal Sharma or Mr Chander Kant Sharma. i even have their phone number which they asked me to pass on to anyone in need.
They said Class 3 staff is very less so it was the association that demanded that more employees should be recruited, all india joining is expected by 15 Dec.

On the day of submission, i heard them (RBI guys who were collecting the docs.) saying that, they wont issue letter of appointment unless we send them the relieving letter from the current employer. Can somebody confirm whether this is a fact.

i think nothing like this is required. i went to give my last document (college char cert) yesterday and asked them about the joining and any other formalities.
They said now they will wait for recieving three things
1) police verification
2) reference verification
3) medical report
they said the appointment letter will be issued when these documents have been recieved and nothing else is to be done.

Puys, have a question.. I have secured the final job in RBI in Mumbai.. can anyone tell me what are the growth prospects in it?? I have got my selection in PO (IBPS and RRB, but i will be preferring RRB for a bank next door to me.. What should I choose??
