Hey!
I heard about this Risk & Treasury concentration your college offers. Would you please elaborate on that basically selection criteria for them, curriculum and placements? I am pursuing my CA so I am interested in specializing in Finance and this course looks interesting.
Thanking you in advance!

Hi.
Risk & Treasury Management is not a separate course. Its an area of concentration offered to students of Business Management course. Its like a super specialization. There are other areas such as Retail Strategy and Data Analytics, that are offered as Concentrations.
If you are interested in finance and would like to build your career in the pure finance areas of Risk & Treasury, you may opt to take up this bouquet of 4 courses taught in the 2nd Year. These subjects are different from the rest of the electives offered, as the courses are designed by ICICI Bank and delivered by industry practitioners.
It would be an advantage to take up this area of concentration, if you are looking at companies like PwC, Deloitte, Grant Thornton, Jardine LLoyd Thompson, ICICI Bank ( Fin profiles), NSE and so on ( I have mentioned the companies that visit Praxis, there are many other companies which look for these domain knowledge!).
Praxis has a strong team in Finance, go through our website to know the faculty and the subjects. If you are interested in Finance, Praxis would be a good option.
Extension of Application Deadline for both progams:
Last date for purchase of application : 25th January 2012
Last date for submission of application: 28th January 2012
when will PAT is going to conduct ?????
What will be the Cut-off for CAT 2011 ?? i have a mere 59 percentile (as quants sectional got low ) 😞 😞
Hey Swaroop
I have already replied to your query in pm. But as a general information to all applicants I would like to tell that CAT/XAT score is not the only criteria for shortlisting for gd/pi. They carry around 20% weightage while the rest are for academics, work-ex and extra curriculars. So for some one who doesn't have a good CAT/XAT score but has a good & stable career they will be shortlisted to write PAT and only on qualifying that exam will they be allowed to appear for gd/pi. I hope this helps.
May the force be with you...!!!

Hey Priyankar6
My suggestion would be brush up on your writing skills for your essay and have an idea about what is going on in the world around you. For your PI brush up on your basics of academics also be ready for some in depth questions on your graduation & professional stream, know your CV in & out and as you are doing your CA I presume you have done or doing your articleship, you will need to have a good hold over all that you have done there.
As for placements, placements are going great with more than 50% of the batch already placed and many-a-company in the pipeline for the others, the highlight of this year's placement season has been our first international final placement based out of Jakarta with Kadence International for USD 50000. The average salary till now has been around 5.75 Lakhs. For more details about placements you can visit the Life@Praxis thread on PG or you can visit Praxis Business School
