Hi Puys,
I have converted Delhi BM and i am choosing it over XL-HR and some other really good converts. I am seeing a lot of comparisons and a lot of people being confused, so i am here to give my opinion. You can take it with a pinch of salt and can do your own research and take an informed decision. Please try and keep hatred and criticism away from this post.
1. I am not at all interested in HR and do not want a career in HR, if you are interested in HR then XL-HR is a no brainer or even some other good HR course.
2. I am choosing XL-NCR because SIPs are common and last year 50% of the batch got PPO.
3. Decision about Final placements would be taken later, i feel if our student body does a good job, it will be common. And as per director, consulting companies prefer Mumbai/Delhi location.
4. XL NCR BM is like an extended batch of Jamshedpur BM according to seniors themselves which brings the batch strength to 300, which is still less than old IIMs. So final placement should not even be a problem.
5. First 2 terms are in JSR, so we will get enough guidance about how to go about.
6. Recent P&G opportunity was open to NCR campus, which means effectively it was only open to ABCL, XL JSR and XL NCR. Which makes NCR a good choice as compared to other colleges.
7. There could be some rift among students but that is part of MBA and the way seniors were defending NCR campus in below posts, i do not feel it would be a big problem.
8. Selection cutoff was same for both campus, even though people with high merit will go for JSR, aspirants in NCR are at a good level too.
If anyone wants to add anymore points they can in the comments.
Please read the post and comments of these 2 below for a better idea:-
P.S - I am not comparing NCR with JSR BM, JSR BM is better anyday. Also please try and refrain from criticizing the post and college as it is just my opinion and could might help any fellow aspirant.
