Now my application status says that I am on waitlist.
Is it just because the date is yet to be announced or I am short of any of the criteria? If so, will we please let us know which criteria I am falling short of? When can we expect the selections for the first evaluation to start??

Thank you for the interest shown in S P Jain, Dubai-Singapore-Sydney's GMBA (December 2012 intake) program. We are in receipt of your application and on screening the same we find you falling short on some of our admission criteria due to which we have kept you on our waiting list. Periodically (there is no specific time frame for doing so - it is done as and when the need for doing so arises) this list is reviewed and Participants moved to the evaluation process. Please check this website at intervals to ascertain if there has been any change in your admission status.

This is what my application status reads .As i have applied on 4th may does anyone has the same status as mine???

Hi!

The aptitude test conducted by S P Jain is intended to test a student's IQ, mathematical ability, logic and reasoning capacity, English reading and comprehension ability. There is also a section on general knowledge. These questions are intended to test knowledge of current events and normal business awareness. The paper would be divided into different sections based on these areas. The test is for a duration of 1 hour. The test paper consists of around 40 to 45 questions The format of the test may change from time to time but the testing would be on the mentioned parameters. The aptitude test will be a paper based test. There is negative marking - different questions may have a different scale of negative marking, and this would be taken into account while calculating a student's score. We do not have sectional cut offs, we expect the overall score to meet our cut off.
You can prepare for the test by referring to study material used for CAT & GMAT preparation.

Hi!

Scholarship decisions are generally announced after or very close to the final fee payment deadline. Applicants will have to pay the complete fees by the final deadline. Those awarded scholarships will have any excess payment received credited to their account. Pls also note that the scholarships are highly competitive and are solely based on merit. Only a minuscule percentage of the earlier batch has been awarded this scholarship, so you would still need to arrange for the balance fees.

The amount covers only a part of the tuition fee element out of your total fee structure.

I appeared for spjat online on 2nd of June. How long does it take to get the result of the online test? The mail said I would be informed about the result but did not state the time frame.

Your CAT score seems fine, so would recommend that you apply. You will be advised incase you fall short of any requirement.

I am a MGB 2012 aspirant...I would like to seek your advice regarding the SPJAT
My academic scores are as follows
Cat-83.80 percentile
B.E.-67%(aggregate)
12th-89.67%
10th-86.26%

I would like to know if with the above profile will i be eligible for the admission process or should i appear for the SPJat on 17th june12..It would be very nice of you if u could revert back asap as the exam closing dates are nearing.Thanks in advance.

Hi!

When you come for the interview you need to carry the following with you :
1. Originals and certified/self attested copies of Std 10th, 12th ALL years of undergraduate degree (i.e. 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th - if applicable)and Degree Certificate (provisional degree certificate where degree is not available)final year which mentions the details for all the in between years - semesters until graduation. Certified/self attested photocopies of the same for our records.
2. Originals and certified/self attested copies of post graduate qualification/s (if any)and any professional courses undertaken (if any)
3. Originals and certified/self attested copies supporting the work experience details mentioned in the application form - this could be by means of appointment/relieving letters or experience certificates issued by employer. It is mandatory to furnish the last two months latest salary slips from your current employer.
4. Originals and certified/self attested copies as proof of the score mentioned in the application form - GMAT/CAT. For SPJ aptitude test this is not needed.
5. A print out of the call letter with your photograph pasted at the top right hand corner .
6. 12 self - addressed sticker labels (please use self adhesive labels - names and addresses written out on plain paper and on envelopes and on post its are not acceptable) Please mention your telephone nos below your address. Please also ensure that your application no. is mentioned on the face of the sticker either in the right hand top corner or bottom corner
7. Any Extra curricular activities certificates along with self-attested photocopies of the same for our record
8. Please carry a photo identity proof along with you
9. One copy of your passport (1st two pages and last two pages)

Kindly do let us know how much more time would it take for the evaluations to start.It would be of great help.Also , when the evaluations do start, which are the documents that we have to get along.Knowing about them in advance would be great as we can get the documents if any are missing.

I checked the CGPA criteria of 3 out of 4 to avail placement facility in campus.As per my understanding it will filter out almost 50% of batch.Please correct me if I am wrong.

Does it mean that 85% of above 3 CGPA are placed rest (i.e. below 3 CGPA) are not even considered?

First of all thanks for your all valuable replies to the queries posted in this thread. !!

I have also applied for GMBA Dec 2012 intake and my SP Internal exam is scheduled in this month itself.

My Query is
While applying I checked for "Placement Assistance required" but my company offers me to take a sabbatical leaves and I can complete my MBA and re-join my existing company itself, but I wanted to explore more offers also before finally deciding whether to re-join my existing company or to take up new offer.

First is it any problem for placement cell if I take study leaves and still go for placement assistance?

Second does it affect my chances for admission if I opt for one or the other placement option?

Our aim is to ensure that candidates do well and get the maximum possible benefit out of our programs. So, we do have to ensure that there are certain guidelines in place so that students donot take the program lightly.
