[OFFICIAL] SP Jain School of Global Management (SPJSGM) | Dubai, Singapore, Sydney: MGB & Global MBA - Admissions 2024-26

Hi,

Can you please let me know the following details.

1) Is the registration fee (5000USD) mentioned in website is for making my admission to SPJain Confirmed??

2) I am thinking of deferring my admission to Nov-2012, so what is the minimum amount that i should pay first in order to confirm my admission?

3) Kindly let me know the procedure for deferring my admission to Nov-2012 intake?

Can you please post the replies you might have got from the adcom; or you can mail me @ [email protected]

That would be a great help.

Thanks,
Aseem Juneja
Hi!

Admissions for November 2012 will open around May 2012 post this we will be announcing the aptitude test dates on our website at regular intervals. You can take the test more than once in which case we will consider the best score out of all.

we only have the placements statistics of our Novemeber 2010 batch which is put up on our website. the moment our April 2011 batch gets done with their placements we will put their statistics up online as well.

Thanks a lot Rutty for your valuable info but could you please answer the last part of my queries?

"a)What happens to those students who dont manage to secure a job from the campus(on-campus i mean)? and they do not wish to return to their past recruiters? b)What was the total intake for the last batch and out of them how many did not manage to get on-campus placements? and how many went back to their previous recruiters? and how many are still rendered "job-less"?"

hi!

To know the procedure to defer you can send a mail to [email protected]. We will give you all the details.

hi!

If you already have a test score that meets our cut off mark, you may apply for the November 2012 intake by simply giving your test date. we will then map your scores to your application. You will be informed if there is a need to retake the test.

Hi Rutty,

So if I take fresh SPJAT for nov intake, the best of 2 spjat scores will be taken considering I'll not fill in the application form until the results are out.

Secondly, If I want my evaluation process to be carried out based on the new exam that I'll be giving, in that case also the parameters for rejection for apr intake would be considered?

Thanks

hi rutty,

I wrote SPJAT twice, one in jan-12 and another in feb-12.
Both time my application shows same message as "waitlist-Intial screening"

  1. Does this message implies that my test score not competative or
  2. My profile was not up to the mark/competative as other candidates ( I was expecting a call atleast on my profile )
  3. Was it wrong selection of specilisation.
Now If i apply for Nov-12 intake
  1. which areas should I be improve.
  2. Being a reapplicant for Nov-12, Does the rejection in april-12 hamper my chances for Nov-12 intake.
Thanks in adavnce

Hi Rutty !!!
I qualified for SPJAT written test on 4th March, 2012 and completed the evaluation process the same day but I got Regret saying that I did not meet some of the unique requirement of SP Jain.
I have following questions:
1) Can I apply for Nov '12 intake evaluation without having to appear for written test again?

2) Also what are the unique requirements of SP Jain which I did not meet during April 2012 intake? Please clear it so that I will take care of it when i appear next time for Nov '12 evaluations.

3) What are the significant changes in profile which you want?
Please give example.

Thanks & Regards,
Ellipsys.

Hi!

Our Career service cell extends all possible support to help students with their placements. There have been instances where candidates have got serviced even after they have returned back to India. For the last batch all students got jobs either through the efforts of the S P Jain's Career Services (most) or through their own network and opted out of placements.
A few students had joined the program on sabbatical or as entrepreneurs.

Hi!

The outcome of the aptitude test is emailed to candidates post the test. So you should have received a mail informing whether or not your test scores meet our cut off mark.
The other factors on which an application is waitlisted are less work experience, poor academics and such other required parameters.

IF your application has been rejected at the initial stage itself, then you can re-apply for our next intake, provided you have a minimum of 3 years work experience as this is the most important factor.

That's brilliant!
But could you please suggest me when could be the right time for joining? April/November?
I saw that the April batch has a lot more students than the November batch.

What is the total cost of studying/living out there? what are the loan facilities available?

Hi!

what designation you get post the MGB depends a lot on the kind/amount of work experience you have and your performance on the program.

Hi!

We certainly cannot give out the reason as to why you did not get through the Evaluation round. The Interviewers evaluate a student to try and understand his interest and knowledge of the specialisation he/she is opting for and also test the kind of exposure you have had. A decision is made only after thoroughly understanding the suitability of the candidate.

If you have been rejected post the evaluation and are applying for the same specialisation in the next intake, then we would like to see some substantial improvement in your profile before shortlisting you for the evaluation. SInce the period between both your applications is just about 2-3 months, we only consider if there has been some change in your profile as the interviewers would not like to judge based on the same parameters again

Hi!

There is no difference between the April and November intakes. Since the recruiters are aware of our placement cycle, they too are prepared well in advance for the placements.
For information on Fees other Costs and Bank Loans kindly refer to http://www.spjain.org/gmba/fee_structure.asp

Hi,
If we apply for MGB now, when are we likely to know the result if we are selected or not? What are the chances for a GMAT score of 710 with less than a year experience?

Thank for the resposnse, Rutty !!!
I have just last two questions to ask to you:

1) If I apply for some other specialization in Nov. '12 than I applied in April '12, then will my application be considered as fresh application and my profile as fresh profile ? Also, will my SPJAT written test marks I scored in April '12 be considered valid to proceed for evaluation in Nov. '12 in this case ?
2) Also, since I have an Engineering background and my work exp is in the field of Heavy Engineering and Engineering design, are my efforts not worth if I apply for Marketing or Finance if I have a strong desire to change my profession? Do I need to have prior work exp related to same specialisation I' applying for ?

Hi!
For GMBA we only accept students with a minimum of 3 years work experience. For candidates with lesser work experience we offer the Masters of Global Business (MGB). This is a new program , for more details pls refer our website on http://www.spjain.org/mgb/index.asp .
MGB is meant for participants with 0-3 years of work experience. This masters course is intended to give graduates a global outlook, acquiring contemporary knowledge and skills in business disciplines, which have an international focus.

hi!

Admissions for MGB are now open. We would recommend you to submit your application. Admissions are on a rolling basis, so the sooner you apply the faster you will have a decision.

Hi,

Hi!

We normally prefer having students with the relevant background for any of our specialisations. Having said this, we do consider cases where students wish to change their background for any particular reason but in this case we see the motivation behind their career change. You are welcome to apply for any of our specialisations but you will be asked the reason if there is a change from your present background and the Interviewers would also like to see your interest and knowledge of the subject.
If you are applying for another specialisation in Nov 2012, you will be judged to see if you qualify for that specialisation. You can apply with the same test score so long as it meets the cut off mark set for next intake.

Thank for the resposnse, Rutty !!!
