Hi Rutty ,
I had applied for the April intake and had taken the SPJAT for the same. Since the round of evaluations for this season is almost over and my status in bold still says "Waitlist : Initial screening" I wanted to know :
1) Will I have to take the SPJAT again for November intake ? 2) If No, do I have to fill the application again to be considered for the next intake ?
Could you please also let us know an approx figure on how re-applicant friendly school is SPSGM?.. Around how many re-applications do you receive and how many get through?

If u ask me its bad.... Unless you have extra ordinary changes in your profile.. I had some extra ordinary certifications related to management but still wasn't selected... So cant say.

If you had taken the SPJat for April 2012 intake ie. post Dec 2011, then you can apply for November 2012 intake with the same test result. To apply for November 2012 you will need to submit a fresh application once the admissions are made open.

If you are re-applying to SPjain then we consider the application as a new one for that intake and assess the form just the same way we would screen a new application. However, if your application has been rejected post the evaluation in the previous intake, then we need to see some substantial growth/improvements in your application as you would have been interviewed just about 3-4 months back and would obviously not be interviewed for the same specialisation again on the same parameters.

Hi Rutty I wanted to know if I apply for MGB and my GMAT score does not meet the requirement would I be asked to appear for SPMAT or Il be rejected?? Thanks
Hi Rutty I wanted to know if I apply for MGB and my GMAT score does not meet the requirement would I be asked to appear for SPMAT or Il be rejected?? Thanks
And one more thing if post MGB if i wish to go for GMBA it says 6weeks but how much would be the fee?? Thanks
If you are applying with an aptitude test score that does not meet our cut off mark but meeting all the other parameters then you will be given the option to take the SPMAT to improve your scores. It will not be an outright rejection.

I had applied for GMBA program on the last day i.e 29th February. Yesterday, I received a mail asking me to appear for the next stage on 4 March in Mumbai.
At such a short notice, it will not be possible for me to come down to Mumbai.
Therefore, I wanted to clarify if I reapply again during Nov 2012 intake, will there be any problem ?
Yes, you are welcome to reapply for November 2012 intake. admissions open around May 2012. SInce admissions are on a rolling basis we advise candidates to apply at the earliest.

1.When from will the SPJAT for Nov'12 take place?(Eager to apply ASAP)Can i take more than 1 attempt for the Nov'12 SPJAT if I found my performance not satisfactory?
2.Since SPJAIN is an Indian Brand performing pretty well on the foreign soil and we,the Indian students are mostly concerned with the placement scenario of a b-school before putting in a lump sum, so I have 2 queries in this domain: a)What happens to those students who dont manage to secure a job from the campus(on-campus i mean)? and they do not wish to return to their past recruiters? b)What was the total intake for the last batch and out of them how many did not manage to get on-campus placements? and how many went back to their previous recruiters? and how many are still rendered "job-less"? (Would be more than happy if you could provide an insight for the individual specializations as well)

I had taken the test in January. But I still don't know my percentile in the written so if I wanted to improve the score again how would that be possible ?
Admissions for November 2012 will open around May 2012 post this we will be announcing the aptitude test dates on our website at regular intervals. You can take the test more than once in which case we will consider the best score out of all.
we only have the placements statistics of our Novemeber 2010 batch which is put up on our website. the moment our April 2011 batch gets done with their placements we will put their statistics up online as well.

We are no longer declaring the test scores to candidates. we only inform the candidate whether or not their scores meet our cut off mark. So you may not be having the percentile, but you may have been informed the outcome of the test.

If the application got rejected post evaluation and wanted to change the specialization(in this case excahnge the 2nd preference with first and set a new preference for 2nd) for nov intake, then also you'll look for exta substantial growth?
Now, for nov intake is there a need for the applicant(who qualified for evaluation for apr intake) to give spjat again?

In this case, we will need to take it on a case to case basis also taking into consideration the grounds on which your application was first rejected.
If you have taken the SPJAT for April 2012 ie sometime after December 2011, then your score will be valid for November 2012 as well, subject to meeting the cut off mark set for Nov. 2012.

Now, for nov intake is there a need for the applicant(who qualified for evaluation for apr intake) to give spjat again?
So if I take fresh SPJAT for nov intake, the best of 2 spjat scores will be taken considering I'll not fill in the application form until the results are out.
Secondly, If I want my evaluation process to be carried out based on the new exam that I'll be giving, in that case also the parameters for rejection for apr intake would be considered?
Thanks
