I believe results are out as few of my known people have got the mail saying so.
Rutty for those who have not got the mail , is there any chances still to try for this year admission. I have 48 months experience with one of the best product company in US. Also I have through out 85% in academics.

Hi!
You will be considered for your 2nd choice of specialisation only if you donot meet the requirements for the 1st choice or if the interviewers feel you are better suited for your 2nd choice of specialisation.
Since, the case study happens at the initial stage of evaluation, it will be based on your 1st choice of specialisation only. If the specialisation has to change, it happens during the interview rounds.
The essays are more general, common accross all specialisations, could be personal or work related.
Hi Rutty ,
In the evaluation round we have a case study and 2 essays.
I came to know Case study is based on the specialization I applied for - What about my second choice - Will I get a case study for that too or I will be considered for 2nd choice in case the panel doesnt find me suited for the 1st one.
And what about the essays - What is the scope for the essays ?
Thanks
Hi,

Hi Rutty,
Could you please answer my query, as I am yet to decide on the date for my GMAT and your answer would be quite helpful.
Thanks.
Hi!
Once the test results are declared, you will be mailed the outcome and also your scores will be mapped to your application. If the application+score does meet all our parameters, you will be mailed regarding the evaluations. Else, the online status will still show you as waitlisted, thats basically if your application/scores do not meet our parameters
Hi Rutty,
I have registered for the aptitude test to be conducted on 19 Feb. I have already applied for the GMBA course. While filling in the application form for aptitude test, it asked me the application number if any. I provided my application id as received on my mail id. Just wanted to know whether after the test, will I have to inform S P Jain or it will be automatically updated in the records. Will I get a confirmation for the same ? Currently my application is under review as I have not submitted by scores.
Thanks ! Your availability here is very much helpful.

Hi!
We used to offer a specialisation called Global Human Resource Management sometime back but we have now discontinued that specialisation so we no longer offer a specialisation in that area.
For list of specialisations, dates , deadlines etc for November 2012 intake you will need to wait till we open admissions for that intake. This may happen sometime around April/May 2012.

This masters course is intended to give graduates a global outlook, acquiring contemporary knowledge and skills in business disciplines, which have an international focus.

Hi Rutty,
I have an IT background of 10.5 years and currently working as Project Manager. My interest post MBA is to get into Account Management in IT, basically I am looking for career acceleration. However most of the GMBA class profile falls within 4-7 years experience band, and that makes me bit worried if the program will be the right fit to meet my career aspirations, particularly because I fall in the higher band of experience. Could you please advise, moreover in general, are there IT companies looking for such profile during campus placements?
Thanks in advance.
hey rutti
how many seats in mgb?
Hi Rutty,
I have not taken GMAT and you are saying that the details will be out in 3rd week of Feb so will we get time to take SPMAT before the application process closes?
Hello Rutti,
I applied for the GMBA program, April 2012 intake online. I would be completing work ex of 33 months in march.
Since the admission committiee is putting people with less than 3 years work ex on the waitlist or selecting them on a case by case basis, I have a suggestion. As I have also given CAT, XAT etc., and am interested in doing an MBA this year only it would be extremely helpful and reassuring if the evaluations are done during feb-mar only. And if the candidate is acceptable in all other aspects and would be completing the required work ex during apr-nov, maybe they can assure a place in the nov. intake ? I would really like to go for the GMBA program, but do not want to miss on the Indian B-schools, which would be closing their admission processes latest by april, in the hope that SPJ would take me in the nov. intake.
Is there any way to inform the admission committee beforehand that I would be willing to take a Nov. batch call if my work ex is the sole reason for a rejection?
Hi!
The quality of past work experience is often a key determinant on how much a recruiting firm values the candidate. So if you have good experience it only adds value when you go in for placements. Also, companies outside India prefer higher work experience and we have several such placements at high salary levels.
Its also common to see students with more work experience rise faster in their respective companies.
Do let us know if you have any more doubts or queries, we would be happy to assist you. You can also write to [email protected]

Hi!
Admissions for the MGB are tentatively scheduled to start around mid-third week February 2012 and the program is expected to start in September 2012 (Tentative) so you will have enough time to take the test and go through the admission process for MGB. We will be having more than one round of the test for each intake.

Hi!
It is important that a candidate's application meets all our admission parameters.Aptitude test scores are just one of the many parameters we have. A good score alone will not compensate for the shortfall of required work experience, a combination of other parameters could perhaps compensate. So, you will have to wait till the admissions committee takes a decision.
Else, you can apply for our next intake by when you would have the required work experience. This aptitude test score of yours will be valid for next intake as well.
Hi Rutty
I just got a mail stating that i meet the required spjat criteria.. but as i am having 32 months of work-ex, will i be considered for next phase of evaluations ? does spjat has any role into it? for example can a good score compensate for workex?

Hi Rutty and other puys?
Any response on this query please ? Many of them infact fall under this category.. Would be highly helpful if we get any insight regarding this?
Hi!
We understand the situation you are in and perhaps there may be other students, like you, in a similar situation. But as a policy, we cannot shortlist a candidate for evaluation until and unless he/she meets all our admission parameters.
When you are interviewed, it not just the number that matters but also the kind of experience and exposure you have had that matters in clearing an interview and getting an offer for the program.

Thanks Rutty for the prompt reply.. I do respect the admission parameters that are laid down. But in case, it means that there's no chance for ppl
@rpavankumar
Yes I feel u have raised a very important question when can we clearly know about the situation????

Yes, i do believe that there's no way SPJCM is gonna call us for the evaluation that's gonna happen on Feb 12th and that really ends the hope for me w.r.t securing an admit this April. I do not see things changing in the last week before evaluation. Hope SPJCM are bit straight forward in this. I do respect their principles, but they need to understand prospective candidates situation as well.
