Hi Rutty,

I have an IT background of 10.5 years and currently working as Project Manager. My interest post MBA is to get into Account Management in IT, basically I am looking for career acceleration. However most of the GMBA class profile falls within 4-7 years experience band, and that makes me bit worried if the program will be the right fit to meet my career aspirations, particularly because I fall in the higher band of experience. Could you please advise, moreover in general, are there IT companies looking for such profile during campus placements?

Hi Rutty ,

In the evaluation round we have a case study and 2 essays.
I came to know Case study is based on the specialization I applied for - What about my second choice - Will I get a case study for that too or I will be considered for 2nd choice in case the panel doesnt find me suited for the 1st one.
And what about the essays - What is the scope for the essays ?

Hi!

The basic difference between the GMBA and MGB is that the MGB is meant for candidates having no or little experience, whereas the GMBA is for those candidates who have a minimum of 3 years work experience.
That apart, the MGB is for 16 months with 4 months of internship whereas the GMBA is for 12 months. The course structure for GMBA is available online on http://www.spjain.org/gmba/gmba_curriculum_credits.asp and for MGB we will put that up online soon, so you can compare the curriculum.

Hi!

We have not yet opened admissions for the Masters of Global Business (MGB) program. You will need to wait till we open the admissions online and this should happen sometime around February/ March 2012.
Pls note that the SPJAT is for GMBA only, for MGB, students would need to either have a GMAT score of 650 or take S P Jains internal test - SPMAT .

Hi Rutty,
I have registered for the aptitude test to be conducted on 19 Feb. I have already applied for the GMBA course. While filling in the application form for aptitude test, it asked me the application number if any. I provided my application id as received on my mail id. Just wanted to know whether after the test, will I have to inform S P Jain or it will be automatically updated in the records. Will I get a confirmation for the same ? Currently my application is under review as I have not submitted by scores.

I am interested in November 2012 intake of SP Jain as I will complete my 3 years of work experience this June. Could you please let me know about what specialization SP Jain offers for students interested in Human Resource Management?

Also could you please give me a rough idea about the application dates and deadlines for November intake.

I think u shd go for spjat.although ur work ex is lon a lesser side,the management looks into work profile and past academic records plus the curricular activities.u shd take the chance.
You can go through the website and check for the specializations.the details are given there.what is best suited according to ur profile or in which field u r interested in is all tht u need to think.

I just got a mail stating that i meet the required spjat criteria.. but as i am having 32 months of work-ex, will i be considered for next phase of evaluations ? does spjat has any role into it? for example can a good score compensate for workex?
