We would recommend you to apply because the admissions committee would decide on your case taking into consideration all the other parameters as well.We do consider the articleship experience but you need to mention this is the seperate column provided for articleships in the application form.

We cannot give you any assurance as to whether you would be offered admission or not once you are on the waitlist. This waitlist is reviewed from time to time as and when need be by the Admissions Committee. However there is no fixed time frame as to when this happens. The latest you would have to wait to know your status would be mid-March.

They say that i am falling short on my score. Is that the only thing I am falling short?
I mean do they recommend me to take the exam on 19th Feb or this is the general email you send for rejection?

I am a marine engineer( presently working as 3rd eng) with work ex 7 yrs, and applied for class of 2013. I have some specific queries. Hope u wont mind answering those.
My queries are as following:
1) Is this possible at this stage to pursue mba in finance (thinking for career shift)??
2) What can be done to hence my profile for recruiter's point of view if i get a chance to pursue MBA in finance?
3) How is the scope in operation management in india or abroad ( aft doing MBA from SP JAIN Dubai & Singapore)
4) How good are finance management and operation management at SP JAIN Dubai & Singapore
5) Anybody from merchant navy from present batch///if, can connect me with him/her(a very rare)

For GMBA we only accept students with a minimum of 3 years work experience. For candidates with lesser work experience we offer the Masters of Global Business (MGB). This is a new program , we plan to open admissions for this program this year around February 2012.
MGB is meant for participants with 0-3 years of work experience. This masters course is intended to give graduates a global outlook, acquiring contemporary knowledge and skills in business disciplines, which have an international focus.

Your application may have just been screened and since you didnot have any aptitude test score, we may have sent this mail asking you to register for the aptitude test.
If you have taken the test on 29th Jan pls ignore the recent 'call for aptitude test mail'.

For the evaluations, only shortlisted candidates will receive an email but the status of all students will be updated online so whether you are not shortlisted or waitlisted you will know from your online status.

We normally prefer having students with the relevant background for any of our specialisations. Having said this, we do consider cases where students wish to change their background for any particular reason but in this case we see the motivation behind their career change. You are welcome to apply for our Investment Banking and wealth management specialisation but you will be asked the reason for this change and the Interviewers would also like to see your interest and knowledge of the subject.

I came to know Case study is based on the specialization I applied for - What about my second choice - Will I get a case study for that too or I will be considered for 2nd choice in case the panel doesnt find me suited for the 1st one.
And what about the essays - What is the scope for the essays ?
