Hi Rutty,

I have registered for the aptitude test for Sunday, 29th January 2012, in Bangalore. I had submitted my application a few days back. I got an email yesterday saying that I need to submit a score with the application. Now, since, I have already registered for the test, do I need to contact the admissions team again after giving the test? My application id is 85744-GLSCM

hello rutty,

Could you please let me know the SPJAT to be held on 19 Feb will be conducted across various centres or only in mumbai?

Hi!

For 29th Jan, we are only having test centers at Banglore, delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai. You can wait to see whether we will have a test center at Kolkatta for the test happening on February 19th but incase we donot and if you wish to proceed, you will have to come down to one of the 4 cities mentioned above to take the test as we have no other alternative.

Hi!

When your application was screened, we did not have your aptitude registration details and therefore the mail asking you to register for the aptitude test was sent to you. Now, that you have already registered, your scores will be automatically mapped to your application.

Hi Rutty,

I've been short listed for the interview call on 12th feb. I wanted to know what are the chances of getting through if I am looking for a career stream change? I have 3.5+ work ex in IT industry, but I really wish to pursue my MBA in GLSCM specialisation offered by SPJCM. Can you advise whether this is good to go?

Thanks in advance.

Hi!
For GMBA we only accept students with a minimum of 3 years work experience. For candidates with lesser work experience we offer the Masters of Global Business. This is a new program , we plan to open admissions for this program this year around February 2012. The program is for a duration of sixteen months 3 terms of 4 months each followed by a 4 month internship. The first 3 terms to be conducted at each of S P Jains campus locations at Dubai, Singapore and Australia . It is meant for participants with 0-3 years of work experience. This masters course is intended to give graduates a global outlook, acquiring contemporary knowledge and skills in business disciplines, which have an international focus.
All other details pertaining to admissions, fees, course start date etc. will be put up online on http://www.spjain.org/mgb/index.asp very soon

Hi Rutty,
Rohit here. I am a Chartered Accountant with a year and half year experience in a international firm. I want to do an MBA so wanted to know whether the SP Jain Dubai / Sydney course do a significant value add to my profile and if yes, I would like to give the SP Jain exam in February. Further, whether can I register for the same right now or the registrations will be after the January exam.

Hi!

We normally prefer having students with the relevant background for any of our specialisations. Having said this, we do consider cases where students wish to change their background for any particular reason but in this case we see the motivation behind their career change. You are welcome to consider our global logistics and supply change management specialisation but you will be asked the reason for this change and the Interviewers would also like to see your interest and knowledge of the subject.

Hi!
For GMBA we only accept candidates with a minimum of 3 years work experience. Exceptions to this will be made if the candidate has a good profile otherwise, such as exceptional academics , internships, aptitude scores, achievements, performance at work etc. for which you need to send your application with all details to the Admissions Committee to be assessed.

Thanks Rutty! This helps.. One more quick query. in case the interviewers feel that a candidate is more suited for another specialisation which is not mentioned in the preference while submitting the application form, do the interviewers advise the candidate on the same?

Thanks in advance..
