hi!

Students who are made an offer will be informed over email. For all other candidates, we will be updating their status online. SO you need to even check your online status.

Hi Rutty,

Does this mean that students who have been selected have already been informed about the same by email n that the rest will have to check the status online?

Yes, i had appeared for the test.
A basic CAT/GMAT like preparation helps. u can also brush up the current happenings in the world for the GK section.

The test difficulty level is medium to low and its comparatively easier to crack this test.

Hi!

If your application has been waitlisted it only means that the Admissions Committee may have decided to do so for some reason and that they will be reviewing it again at regular intervals. Pls continue to track the progress online. You will get an update latest by February
Although you had applied for Nov 2011, your application then, did not move up since you had not taken any aptitude test at that time.

Hi!

The evaluation is only for one day. When you register you will be given the option to select a time slot which is still open.

The students of one time slot sit for the essay/case study together but the paper has to be answered individually, there is no discussion in this round.

Hi!

The aptitude test conducted by S P Jain is intended to test a student's IQ, mathematical ability, logic and reasoning capacity, English reading and comprehension ability. There is also a section on general knowledge. These questions are intended to test knowledge of current events and normal business awareness. The paper would be divided into different sections based on these areas. The test is for a duration of 1 hour. The test paper consists of around 40 to 45 questions The format of the test may change from time to time but the testing would be on the mentioned parameters. The aptitude test will be a paper based test. There is negative marking - different questions may have a different scale of negative marking, and this would be taken into account while calculating a student's score. We do not have sectional cut offs, we expect the overall score to meet our cut off.
You can prepare for the test by referring to study material used for CAT & GMAT preparation.

Hi Rutty,

Does this mean that there will no offers coming at later part of this week?

I got a call yesterday from SP Jain asking about my level of interest in the program and was told that I will be informed about the offer by the end of this week. In the call, the discussion was such that it created a lot of hope. However, I have not received any offer so far.
