I have a quick question, not sure if this has been discussed, let me know if its already answered.
I am currently in US, and had applied to SP Jain PGPM in Mumbai, and is selected to join from Jan 2012. However due to an unavoidable issue I may not be able to leave US before March.
1. So is it an option to join GMBA of SP Jain in April 2012 in Singapore instead of PGPM in Mumbai?
2. If not, can I apply to GMBA even if I have admission secured for PGPM MUmbai for Jan 2012?
3. Or do I need to cancel my admission for PGPM Mumbai and freshly apply for GMBA Singapore?
4. What is the final selection date for GMBA Singapore?

We started Consulting management as a specialisation only from Nov 2010 intake, you will get the placement statistics on our website when students of this intake complete their placements which will be sometime soon now.

You will get all this information on our website once we open the intake. There is a nominal fee hike each intake, so you can expect that for April 2012 as well.
The placement statistics for our Nov 2010 batch will be put up once they complete their placement process which will be sometime soon now.

Another question : whether the GMBA program starting April 2012 would be Tri-City(dubai, singapore, sydney) based instead of the previous Twin-City model??
If yes, then would there be any hike in the fee?

The admission procedure for PGPM and GMBA are different and independent of each other. So, if you wish to join the GMBA batch of April 2012, you will need to apply once we open the admissions for that intake which will be around Nov 2011. Since you are based out of USA, we will be carrying out the process online.

We evaluate a potential candidate overall, on several factors. These are: good GMAT, CAT or SP Jain aptitude test scores, good academic record, relevant work experience, exhibited leadership qualities, analytical abilities, communication skills and other personality traits. For April 2012 intake, we will accept CAT 2010 and CAT 2011 scores. Our cut off for CAT is 80 percentile but if you are applying for Consulting Management we may need a higher score there.

Yes, we would recommend you to apply but apart from this there are other factors such as your academics, quality and type of work exp. , leadership abilities and such other factors that have to be taken into consideration as well.

I was interested in applying to sp jain gmba for the april 2012 intake but was slightly confused regarding which specialization to apply in.Im a software engg by profession and would have 40 months of work ex with infosys by april 12. i was interested in digital media management because of my web development background and was planning to apply to the CMM specialization since digital media management was covered there. i wanted to know if i could take up digital media management credits if i applied to the ITM program?Also since we were asked to apply to 2 programs in the application, if i put CMM as my first preference and ITM as the second and was not selected for CMM later would i be considered for ITM? my profile details are mentioned below

If you are opting for ITM, you can only study for the credits mentioned under ITM, you cannot combine it with any other specialisation.
while applying we ask you to select 2 specialisations as per your order of preference. So incase , you donot qualify for the 1st preference, we will assess you for the 2nd preference you have given.

I appeared for GMAT on 31st october , 2009 and scored 740 (Quant 49, Verbal 41). Now, though I wanted to apply for GMBA 2011 november intake, I had to go on an onsite assignmnt , so I will apply for April 2012 intake. I have around 6 years experience with experience of working in 4 countries, excellent extracurricular achievements and knowledge of 6 international languages. I also have a score of 1450 (98%tile) in GRE (less than 2 yr old)with a perfect 800/800 in Maths. Also have 110/120 in TOEFL.
Now, frankly speaking though SPJAIN GMBA is my top choice, I cant appear for GMAT or CAT again. So, can SPJAIN consider my present GMAT score , as it is only 2 yrs old as of now and will be less then 2.5 yrs old at program start ? If not then if I appear for SPJAIN test and dont achieve a score as high as my GMAT , will my high GMAT , GRE, TOEFL scors will be taken into consideration while arriving at an admission decision?

For April 2012 intake, we will only be accepting GMAT scores of 2010, 2011 and upto March 2012. So your score of 2009 may not be held valid for April 2012. We cannot exempt you on the basis of GRE and TOEFL scores because we donot ask for those scores. we only need the candidate to have a valid aptitude test score apart from other parameters like academics, work exp. etc .
So, incase you are unable to take GMAT /CAT, you can take the SPJain aptitude test. We normally have 2-3 rounds of the SPJain aptitude test for each intake. The dates will be put up at regular intervals once we open the intake.

We cannot consider any of these scores in lieu of the aptitude test requirement we have , reason being we donot judge on the basis of GRE/ TOEFL and your GMAT score is no more valid for this intake. Instead what we could consider is, your work exp., academics, extra curriculars etc. so if there is a small shortfall in your aptitude test score but if your application is strong in the other areas, the admissions committee might just make an exception.
