It is mandatory to have an aptitude test score to apply for the GMBA program. So students who donot have a CAT or GMAT score, opt for the SPJain aptitude test.

I have been short listed for the November'11 intake's evaluation stage to be held on 7th Aug.
While submitting my application I selected IT Management as my first preference and Investment Banking as second. But I wish to change my preferences- Marketing Management as first and IT Management as second.
I sent an email to [email protected] requesting the same (shared by application No and Name).
When may I expect a response from SP Jain?
While booking the time slot, I first have to select specialization from the drop down. May I select Marketing Management and proceed for making the payment?
I need to confirm my time slot asap as I have to plan my travel too.
Kindly suggest.

As stated earlier, you will need to decide on your specialisation based on your career interest. We can advice you, if you are making a wrong choice but this is done only at the stage of evaluation when the interviewers get to meet you in person.

We will send you an acknowledgement once the change is made. But for now, you will need to register for the evaluation with IT as your specialisation.
Your application number, with the short code of specialisation will remain the same throughout the evaluation. If you get selected after the evaluation, we will then accordingly change your application number to include the new specialisation .
Let me know or mail us if you still have any doubts on this.

i have applied for november intake also with same stream of specialization. but my application status shows " waiting list as profile failing short of addmission criteria"....... since i was qualified for last intake, is this status because of my failure to get through last time??
will i get chance to participate in the 1st (or any) evaluation round for November intake???

This is Barath. I completed my Bcom in '08 and have been working for Goldman Sachs for 3 years. I plan to appear for the August SP Jain Aptitude test. I have few queries. Will I be allowed to take Sept'11 test as well if I don't meet the minimum required score in August test? Please also provide some information on the Admission process. Also, when I get through into the program, will I be placed as a lateral hire?

I am Richa from Mumbai, have appeared for SPJAT exam on 17th july and didn't perform well in the exam.
1)Can i retake the exam in August?If yes will the chances of admission will be on lower side as i reappeared for the exam?
2)I am yet to submit the application,but i am almost done with that.Can i submit the application before SPJAT august exam which i am reappearing.
3)I have seen in the previous posts stating the cut off percentile is 80% for next round.Can you reveal at an average how much of 100 marks is considered as 80 %percentile in most cases.

Yes you can take the next aptitude test scheduled for August to improve your scores.
If you submit your application before hand and then take the test, your application will be assessed immediately once the results of the aptitude test are declared.
Our cut off for the test is 75-80 percentile.

Percentile is calculated based on the total number of students who have appeared for the test , so the average score required to get a certain percentile would vary each time.
Your percentile is mentioned on your scorecard.

I would be out of India from Aug 5 -20. so ,if the SPJAT is conducted during this period , is it possible that i give the exam at your singapore campus ?
