Indian MBA schools define lateral placements as above 2 years pre MBA experience. 0 to 2 is considered as entry level placements. Many institutes have a separate process called lateral placements for experienced students which start before the normal one.
In our case since all our students come with more than 2 years experience, there is no separate process. You can say that our entire process is lateral, i.e. for experienced students.

We have 2 intakes for our GMBA programme each year, one around April/ May and another around the month of November/ December. Admissions open 6-7 months prior to the batch start date. So, for April 2012, we may start admissions around Nov 2011.
We evaluate a potential candidate overall, on several factors. These are: good GMAT, CAT or SP Jain aptitude test scores, good academic record, relevant work experience, exhibited leadership qualities, analytical abilities, communication skills and other personality traits.
If you plan to take the GMAT, pls note we only accept scores of the last 2 years (prior to the intake)

Admissions for Nov 2011 will start today ie. 1st June 2011.
Our cut-off for GMAT is 650, so you need to have a score above this to qualify.

I have deffered admission for Nov-2010 batch. In the application I have selected the "placements required " option. However my current company giving me an option to go on study leave . If I get selected in any of the companies after completion of course , I can resign from current compay and the notice period can be taken care by payment of my current basic salary. I am ok with this option of the company however I wanted to know if it is ok to go for this option with respect to institute's placement services policies or hiring company policies , if there any.

The criteria is very vague . Everybody has exhibited some leadership quality during 3 years of workex . This goes without saying that this criteria is what every Bschool worth its salt propounds .

SPJAT for Nov 2011, will be held around the months of July, August & September 2011.
You can go ahead and submit your application before taking any of the aptitude tests. Your application will be kept on HOLD till we receive the aptitude scores. Once your results are declared we will map your score to the application and let you know whether you qualify for the evaluation.

Good Leadership, Analytical and Communication skills are the basic skills required of a good Manager and therefore we look at how well and where a candidate has exhibited these skills to judge the candidate.

We need the candidate to have a minimum of 3 years work experience and we have set 650 as the cut-off mark for GMAT . These are the basic requirements . While shortlisting candidates we look at their overall profile which includes factors like their academics, other qualifications, involvement in extra-curricular activities, accomplishments at work or other areas etc. We would certainly recommend you to apply. Admissions are open for Nov 2011 now.

When can i take the SPJAT exam to apply for the Nov 11 batch. There is nothing mentioned in the website regarding SPJAT. Or can i send the application and then take up the test?
