For Nov 2011 intake, we will be accepting scores of CAT 2009 and CAT 2010 ie.results of which were declared in 2010 and 2011.

We donot accept XAt scores, we only accept CAT, GMAT or SPJain aptitude test scores for admission to the GMBA.
The GMBA is different from the IMT programme, GMBA is a full time one year programme conducted jointly at S P Jains Dubai and Singapore campuses. Through this program, students gain global exposure in two highly globalized cities of the world. Pls also refer the curriculam of both programs to understand the difference.

I had taken the SPJAT on sept 5 2010.
I was told at that time that this would be valid till NOV '11 intake.

I wanted to ask how much weightage is given to entrance tests scores like GMAT,CAT ,SPJAT.Is it just a minimum eligibility criteria or students with 95+ pc in CAT will have an edge over ppl with arnd 85 pc in CAT.Please clarify.

SPJAT scores are valid for 2 intakes only, so your score of Sept 2010 was acceptable for admissions to Nov 2010 and April 2011 intake.
(You may have been told that your score is valid for April 2011 and not Nov 2011)
For Nov 2011, we are only considering scores taken post Dec 2010.

We evaluate a potential candidate overall, on several factors. These are: good GMAT, CAT or SP Jain aptitude test scores, good academic record, relevant work experience, exhibited leadership qualities, analytical abilities, communication skills and other personality traits.
Basic requirement is to have an aptitude test score that meets our cut off mark. A higher aptitude test score further strengthens your application.

There is no exchange program between the SPJain Mumbai campus and SPjain Dubai-singapore campus.
The admission procedure for the programs conducted at the Mumbai campus and Dubai/Singapore campuses are different and independant of each other.
You will need to check their respective sites to know more about the program architecture.

The aptitude test conducted by S P Jain is intended to test a student's IQ, mathematical ability, logic and reasoning capacity, English reading and comprehension ability. There is also a section on general knowledge. These questions are intended to test knowledge of current events and normal business awareness. The paper would be divided into different sections based on these areas. The test is for a duration of 1 hour. The test paper consists of around 40 to 45 questions The format of the test may change from time to time but the testing would be on the mentioned parameters. The aptitude test will be a paper based test. There is negative marking - different questions may have a different scale of negative marking, and this would be taken into account while calculating a student's score. We do not have sectional cut offs, we expect the overall score to meet our cut off.
You can prepare for the test by referring to study material used for CAT & GMAT preparation. we donot give out sample papers of the test.
